Obama To End "Snowflake" Adoption Funding

The Obama Administration would rather fund the destruction of human life and population control through ObamaCare than fund the protection of human. To that end, a program that helped adopt embryos to families will be ended. From Life News:
President Barack Obama is seeking to end federal funding for a pro-life program installed during the administration of President George W. Bush that helped save unborn babies potentially slated for destruction in fertility clinics.

The “snowflake baby” program provided funding for adoption programs for the children who were formerly stored human embryos at fertility clinics who could have been destroyed for scientific research.

Congressman Chris Smith, a New Jersey Republican, was one of the strong proponents of the pro-life program, saying, “Assertions that leftover embryos are better off dead so that their stem cells can be derived is dehumanizing and cheapens human life. There is no such thing as leftover human life. Ask the snowflake children— cryogenically frozen embryos who were adopted—their lives are precious and priceless.”

The Obama administration proposes to defund the Embryo Adoption Awareness Campaign in its fiscal 2013 budget. As the Washington Times reports, “The Department of Health and Human Services “is not requesting funds for this program” because “the Embryo Adoption program will be discontinued in FY2013,” HHS officials said in a February funding report to Congress.”

Ron Stoddart, executive director of Nightlight Christian Adoptions, one of the top embryo adoption programs, told the newspaper he is disappointed with the decision, saying, “I think that daily we talk to people about … embryo donation and adoption, and we hear the response, ‘Really? I didn’t know that was even possible.’”

Mailee Smith, staff counsel at Americans United for Life, told the newspaper the decision is more evidence of “the pro-abortion slant of this administration.”

“Why would the Obama administration cut $2 million for adoption awareness, but keep $1 million a day for Planned Parenthood?” she said.

But the Obama administration claims there is “little interest” in the program.

Under one of the grants the program gave out, Bethany Christian Services, the largest adoption agency in the United States, partnered with the NEDC to provide a national forum for emerging issues related to embryo adoption and donation...
There at least three children at my church that have been adopted and given life through a "Snowflake" program from one agency or another. Of course a pro-abortion President cannot see much use for funding something that promotes life.

Christians Should Defend The Fatherless (Video)

Here is my attempt to put some images to a powerful song about how Christians should defend the fatherless.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27

Orphan Sunday And Defending The Fatherless

In case you did not know, yesterday was Orphan Sunday.

Why Love Orphans? from Christian Alliance for Orphans on Vimeo.

Our church currently has about 12 couples either becoming foster parents, going through the adoption process, or have actually adopted already. A new website called Project Hope Speaks has been set up to share these stories and to affirm the biblical teaching on care for the orphan.

I think just as their is a need to defend the cause of the orphan outside the womb, I think there is a need to defend the orphan from those who want preemptively kill the orphan in the womb. May Christians defend orphans no matter what size they are.

Defend the oppressed.
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow." Isaiah 1:17

UK Tells Christians To Embrace Homosexuality If They Want To Be Foster Parents

What happens when a society and the government start losing moral clarity?

"Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter." Isaiah 5:20

People start asserting evil as good and claim that good is evil. This will lead to a punishment of those who are doing genuine good and a reward to those who are doing genuine evil. In the United Kingdom this is playing out as the country is embracing the sin of homosexuality. It has gotten so bad that they are actually trying to stop Christians from caring for the orphans in there. From the Christian Post:
"A Christian couple in England has made several attempts to provide foster care to children but has been blocked because of their views on homosexuality.

Eunice and Owen Johns were scheduled to face the High Court on Monday and their attorneys say the outcome of the case could impact the future of Christian foster carers and adoptive parents.

"It may not be long before local authorities decide that Christians cannot look after some of the most vulnerable children in our society, simply because they disapprove of homosexuality," the Christian Legal Center said in a statement.

The Johns applied in 2007 to be respite carers for children between the ages of five and 10. A social worker visited their home in Derby, England, every two weeks as part of the assessment process. During one of the visits, the social worker mentioned that if a child came from school and told the foster parents that he or she is homosexual, the parents would have to tell the child that it's OK.

Eunice Johns responded, "As a Bible-believing Christian, I don't think I can do that."

With that, the Derby City Council halted the application process. The Johns then faced a panel of at least a dozen people and affirmed again that they refuse to tell a child that it's OK to be a homosexual.

"I told them that I know they're not going to let me foster ... but there's no way I can do that as a Bible-believing Christian and I should not be made to say that," she said..."
Christians are called to care for the orphan and defend the fatherless, what is taking place in the United Kingdom is a full scale assault on Christians. Liberalism is an idolatrous and false religion that stands in antithesis to Christianity, the attempt to normalize a sin like homosexuality is one of the clearest examples of this. Charles Spurgeon saw the threat of Liberalism over a hundred years ago and he knew then how great a persecutor those claiming to be Liberal could be:
"The very persons who talk most about being liberal in their views are generally the greatest persecutors. If I must have a religious enemy, let me have a professed and avowed bigot, but not one of your "free thinkers" or "broad churchmen" as they are called, for there is nobody who can hate as they do; and the lovers of liberal-mindedness who have no creed at all think it to be their special duty to be peculiarly contemptuous to those who have some degree of principle, and cannot twist and turn exactly as they can."
Let me encourage my Christian brothers and sisters to remain faithful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:10-12

This attempt to normalize homosexuality is also going on here in America. President Obama is the most pro-gay President we have ever had. Christians could face consequences for their beliefs if Obama's agenda is not stopped.

Adoption; The Other Front Pro-Life Advocates Are Being Attacked On

Not only are pro-abortion absolutists attacking pro-life pregnancy clinics, they are also going after any alternative to abortion. The gay rights agenda offers a cover for this related attack on the pro-life movement.

Anyone who thinks that the gay marriage debate raging here in California is really just about marriage is fooling themselves. Those seeking to justify their sin will stop at nothing to force their immorality on the rest of us. Anyone who dares to take a stand against the normalization of homosexuality will be harassed at many levels. One new area of harassment and intimidation is on the adoption front. From the Christian Post:
"A regulator for charities in England has rejected a Catholic agency's bid to limit its adoption services to heterosexual prospective parents.

Catholic Care, the social care organization of the Diocese of Leeds, expressed disappointment in the decision that was announced Thursday.

"Catholic Care will now consider whether there is any other way in which the charity can continue to support families seeking to adopt children in need," a spokesperson said in a statement.

The group had applied to the Charity Commission to amend its constitution so that it could continue its adoption work in accordance with the tenets of the Roman Catholic Church – namely allowing only married heterosexual couples to adopt. Essentially, the group was applying for exemption from anti-discrimination laws.

The charity has argued that if it cannot limit its services, it would have to close its adoption service in order to keep its connection with the Roman Catholic Church and the funding that this brings.

But the commission concluded "that it would not be justified in the circumstances for the charity to discriminate in this way."

"In certain circumstances, it is not against the law for charities to discriminate on the grounds of sexual orientation," said Andrew Hind, the commission's chief executive. "However, because the prohibition on such discrimination is a fundamental principle of human rights law, such discrimination can only be permitted in the most compelling circumstances. We have concluded that in this case the reasons Catholic Care have set out do not justify their wish to discriminate."

The commission recognized that Catholic Care offers "a valuable, high quality adoption service." At the same time, however, it noted that it is in the interests of children that "the pool from which prospective parents are drawn is as wide as possible."

In March, the High Court had ruled in favor of Catholic Care, allowing the charity to amend its constitution. The Charity Commission was ordered to consider the case again but it ultimately concluded that the Catholic Care's policy violated European human rights laws.

Discrimination based on sexual orientation in the provision of goods and facilities to the public is prohibited under the 2007 Equality Act..."
The goal of the gay rights agenda is to mainstream homosexuality and punish anyone who dares question their sinful lifestyle. "Christians" who help advance this agenda are a threat to you church and those who attend it.

Buy A Frosty At Wendy's To Help Raise Money For Orphans In America

My wife sent me an interview on Fox News of actress Kristin Chenoweth advocating for adoption. With a little more searching I found a video about the campaign.

I have not been to Wendy's for some time, but I will take my family there this weekend and get some frosty's and I encourage you to do it as well. Please also retweet this blog using #TreatItFwd. About.com has some more information as well.

Christians Living Out The Call To Care For The Unwanted

The Orange County Register is doing a story on a couple from my church. The couple has adopted a little girl with a heart condition from China. Here is a section from the article and a video will follow:
"Melody and Jason Lietzau never considered adoption.

Why would they?
Article Tab : hannah-lietzau-room-melod
Hannah, 18 months, the newest member of the Lietzau family, plays on the living room floor. Jason and Melody Lietzau traveled to China to adopt Hannah, who had a serious heart condition.

It was mid-2008 and the La Habra couple already had two healthy boys. Plus, Melody was pregnant.

Still, the Lietzaus, who adhere strongly to Christian faith, believe God sometimes has other plans.

In October, 9 ½ weeks into her pregnancy, Melody visited the doctor for a scheduled checkup. The news was bad. The baby's heart was not beating.

The loss felt crushing.

Four days later, Melody and Jason were at Sunday service at Grace Evangelical Free Church in La Mirada when the pastor delivered the Bible passage James 1:27.

"Religion that God our father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

Orphans?

Suddenly, adoption wasn't just an option, the couple saw it as an obligation.

"We felt like the Lord just spoke to our hearts," Melody says...On April 10, Melody, Jason and Hannah landed at LAX, ending the couple's trip to China to pick up their daughter.

But a new trip was starting.

First, the boys, Noah and Jonah, got to meet their sister. They'd been driven to the airport for that purpose.

But the first stop after that meeting wasn't home – it was Children's Hospital of Orange County, CHOC, where doctors were waiting to check out Hannah.

After the examination, they decided that Hannah would need surgery in less than a week.

Then, a few days later, Hannah's heart began failing. Her condition was worse than anticipated. The Lietzaus were told Hannah had about 30 percent chance of coming out of surgery alive.

The doctors offered the most horrific question a parent can hear: Should we just make her comfortable, or do you want to go through with the surgery?

Melody says their faith didn't leave room for such a question. And when it came time for the surgery, Melody whispered this into Hannah's ear:

'You are a fighter. And you have a story to tell.'"

The surgery, scheduled for five hours, was done in three. Hannah sailed so easily through the procedure that surgeons skipped one phase of the operation.

"There was never a doubt... God has brought us to this point for a reason," says Jason, 33..."

Powerful.

Christians That Care For The Orphan

It is a privilege and a blessing to know a family that is walking in obedience to the Word of God as they follow Jesus Christ. Here is their powerful testimony about how God called them to care for the orphan.

Adopted in Christ from Grace EV Free on Vimeo.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27

I think this ought to apply to the care for the unborn as well. For where is the father of unborn baby when he or she is being murdered? To take intentional action or to acquiesce in the murder of your child is to forfeit one's right to be considered a father.

The Pro-Abortion Absolutists Intolerance Of Adoption

In an article highlighted over at feministing we gain valuable insight into their mindset about abortion. They state with no uncertain terms that abortion is the only option for a woman with an unwanted pregnancy.
"Sociologist Rickie Solinger in her book Wake Up Little Susie, describes what it was like to have an unwanted pregnancy in 1962. The woman might be “futilely appealing to a hospital abortion committee; being diagnosed as neurotic, even psychotic by a mental health professional; expelled from school (by law until 1972); unemployed; in a Salvation Army or some other maternity home; poor, alone, ashamed, threatened by the law.” There was also an acute social stigma attached to an unwed mother with an illegitimate child; maternity homes were frequently frightening and far away. All counseled adoption. The only alternatives were a shotgun wedding or an illegal abortion.

According to a 1958 Kinsey study, illegal abortion was the option chosen by 80 percent of single women with unwanted pregnancies. Statistics on illegal abortion are notoriously unreliable, but the Guttmacher Institute, a respected international organization dedicated to sexual and reproductive health, estimates that during the pre-Roe vs. Wade years there were up to one million illegal abortions performed in the United States each year. Illegal and often unsafe. In 1965, they count almost two hundred known deaths from illegal abortions, but the actual number was, they estimate, much higher, since the majority went unreported..."
At least it is acknowledged that adoption was counseled, even though it is summarily dismissed as abortion is affirmed as the only real option, the only "choice" pro-abortion absolutists will tolerate. Somehow it is better to kill the unborn boy and girl than to adopt it to a family that wants to love the child. This fits perfectly well with what we see among Liberals as they argue that abortion: is a blessing, a gift from God, more natural than pregnancy itself, and even sacred work. Truly evil has become good and good has become evil as Liberalism assaults Christianity and the Christian call to take care of the orphan.

"Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter." Isaiah 5:20

Colorado Leads The Way In Adoption; Will Christians In Other States Follow This Example?

The Denver Post is taking notice of the huge impact the "Wait No More" adoption campaign has made in Colorado.
"The number of Colorado children in foster care awaiting permanent adoption has been cut in half by a partnership between churches and government that places parentless kids in "forever homes."

When the Colorado Springs-based ministry Focus on the Family began spearheading the "Wait No More" adoption initiative in November 2008, the state had 8,000 children in foster care. That number included almost 800 children who were eligible for adoption because their parents had lost parental rights after the state found serious and repetitive neglect and abuse in their families.

In early 2010, only 365 children eligible for adoption remain in foster care, said Sharen Ford, manager of permanency services for the Colorado Department of Human Services.

The success of the initiative has surprised even its many partners — the state, nine counties, New Life Church in Colorado Springs, and dozens of other churches and private agencies. Ford called the results "phenomenal."

Last year alone, more than 1,000 adoptions became final, Ford said. Because children constantly enter and leave the system, the numbers are always in flux, but by the end of 2009, 6,287 were in foster care.

"I'm stunned by the number of kids we've moved off the waiting list," Focus on the Family president and chief executive Jim Daly said. "I was one of those kids — a kid that doesn't have a mom and dad. I was never adopted, but I was very appreciative of the people who came along to mentor me."

Daly said orphan care is a core mission of Christianity..."
This movement needs to be taken nationally and hopefully a national adoption campaign can prove that there is an alternative to abortion. You can read more about this at the I Care About Orphans website.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27

It is increasingly clear that we cannot trust the Obama Administration to follow through on it's rhetoric of abortion reduction. The Christian Churches in America must lead the way even if opposed by the government at some levels.

Adoptees Of Color Prefer Haitian Orphans Live In Poverty And Starve

Here is more evidence of the way feminism has failed women and tolerates gross evil against children. Feminists are actually arguing against adopting Haitian orphans by passing along a statement by the Adoptees of Color. Here is the entire statement:
"This statement reflects the position of an international community of adoptees of color who wish to pose a critical intervention in the discourse and actions affecting the child victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti. We are domestic and international adoptees with many years of research and both personal and professional experience in adoption studies and activism. We are a community of scholars, activists, professors, artists, lawyers, social workers and health care workers who speak with the knowledge that North Americans and Europeans are lining up to adopt the “orphaned children” of the Haitian earthquake, and who feel compelled to voice our opinion about what it means to be “saved” or “rescued” through adoption.

We understand that in a time of crisis there is a tendency to want to act quickly to support those considered the most vulnerable and directly affected, including children. However, we urge caution in determining how best to help. We have arrived at a time when the licenses of adoption agencies in various countries are being reviewed for the widespread practice of misrepresenting the social histories of children. There is evidence of the production of documents stating that a child is “available for adoption” based on a legal “paper” and not literal orphaning as seen in recent cases of intercountry adoption of children from Malawi, Guatemala, South Korea and China. We bear testimony to the ways in which the intercountry adoption industry has profited from and reinforced neo-liberal structural adjustment policies, aid dependency, population control policies, unsustainable development, corruption, and child trafficking.

For more than fifty years “orphaned children” have been shipped from areas of war, natural disasters, and poverty to supposedly better lives in Europe and North America. Our adoptions from Vietnam, South Korea, Guatemala and many other countries are no different from what is happening to the children of Haiti today. Like us, these “disaster orphans” will grow into adulthood and begin to grasp the magnitude of the abuse, fraud, negligence, suffering, and deprivation of human rights involved in their displacements.

We uphold that Haitian children have a right to a family and a history that is their own and that Haitians themselves have a right to determine what happens to their own children. We resist the racist, colonialist mentality that positions the Western nuclear family as superior to other conceptions of family, and we seek to challenge those who abuse the phrase “Every child deserves a family” to rethink how this phrase is used to justify the removal of children from Haiti for the fulfillment of their own needs and desires. Western and Northern desire for ownership of Haitian children directly contributes to the destruction of existing family and community structures in Haiti. This individualistic desire is supported by the historical and global anti-African sentiment which negates the validity of black mothers and fathers and condones the separation of black children from their families, cultures, and countries of origin.

As adoptees of color many of us have inherited a history of dubious adoptions. We are dismayed to hear that Haitian adoptions may be “fast-tracked” due to the massive destruction of buildings in Haiti that hold important records and documents. We oppose this plan and argue that the loss of records requires slowing down of the processes of adoption while important information is gathered and re-documented for these children. Removing children from Haiti without proper documentation and without proper reunification efforts is a violation of their basic human rights and leaves any family members who may be searching for them with no recourse. We insist on the absolute necessity of taking the time required to conduct a thorough search, and we support an expanded set of methods for creating these records, including recording oral histories.

We urge the international community to remember that the children in question have suffered the overwhelming trauma of the earthquake and separation from their loved ones. We have learned first-hand that adoption (domestic or intercountry) itself as a process forces children to negate their true feelings of grief, anger, pain or loss, and to assimilate to meet the desires and expectations of strangers. Immediate removal of traumatized children for adoption—including children whose adoptions were finalized prior to the quake— compounds their trauma, and denies their right to mourn and heal with the support of their community.

We affirm the spirit of Cultural Sovereignty, Sovereignty and Self-determination embodied as rights for all peoples to determine their own economic, social and cultural development included in the Convention on the Rights of the Child; the Charter of the United Nations; the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples; and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The mobilization of European and North American courts, legislative bodies, and social work practices to implement forced removal through intercountry adoption is a direct challenge to cultural sovereignty. We support the legal and policy application of cultural rights such as rights to language, rights to ways of being/religion, collective existence, and a representation of Haiti’s histories and existence using Haiti’s own terms.

We offer this statement in solidarity with the people of Haiti and with all those who are seeking ways to intentionally support the long-term sustainability and self-determination of the Haitian people. As adoptees of color we bear a unique understanding of the trauma, and the sense of loss and abandonment that are part of the adoptee experience, and we demand that our voices be heard. All adoptions from Haiti must be stopped and all efforts to help children be refocused on giving aid to organizations working toward family reunification and caring for children in their own communities. We urge you to join us in supporting Haitian children’s rights to life, survival, and development within their own families and communities."
This is truly a disturbing statement and gives profound insight into the moral depravity of feminist thought and how it stands in total antithesis to biblical Christianity. To be against the adoption of those living in poverty because their parents may have been killed or do not want them makes no sense at all. I suspect that these feminists would fully support Planned Parenthood's attempt to bring abortion to Haiti and see no contradiction between the that and their view on adoption.

Christians are called to be advocates for the orphan, one the most oppressed groups the world has ever known.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27

It may soon be the case that Christians will face harassment and bigoted responses to living out this aspect of our faith.

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:10-12

Feminists Are Intolerant Of True Choice And Keep Women Ignorant About Abortion

I think the lack of focus on women adopting their unwanted babies reveals the moral failure of feminism. In a post today over at feministing, adoption does not even enter as an alternative to killing the unborn baby, rather the focus is on how to "be there" for the woman.
"Saturday morning came and went, and she had her abortion. She wasn't emotional about it; she had only recently discovered that she was pregnant, and felt no attachment to the fetus. She wasn't nervous or afraid; it wasn't her first abortion, and she knew what to expect. Nor had it been a difficult choice for her; she didn't feel ready, either emotionally or financially, to raise a child. An abortion was the obvious choice for her, and luckily, she was able to afford it (with some help from the father) and arrange an appointment early in her pregnancy.

On Saturday afternoon, I stopped by her place to find her in good spirits, bundled up on the couch watching TV. On my way over to her place, I wondered what the accepted protocol was for visiting someone who'd just had an abortion. I wanted to bring her flowers, or soup, or a magazine to read, or something, but none of those seemed appropriate. So I just gave her a hug.

The reason that none of those things seemed appropriate was that my friend wasn't sick, or grieving. She had had an abortion; an uncomplicated first trimester medical abortion, about which she was in no way conflicted or upset. I knew she didn't want comforting or moral support: she just wanted to sleep it off alone, and get back to work.

A few weeks ago, Heidi Fleiss, currently a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK, caused something of a controversy when she said on camera, "Thank God for abortion. I don't mean to offend anyone but I wouldn't be a good mother. I shouldn't have kids." Some found it refreshing to hear a woman speak so unapologetically about abortion; others found it shocking. Personally, I was surprised, upon hearing something that so totally deviated from the cultural script to which we expect women who have had abortions to adhere, by just how well I had internalized that script..."
Not a word about adoption. This is the mindset of the pro-abortion lobby that is dictating the Democratic Party's policies on abortion. They are pro-abortion because the only "choice" they will tolerate is the one that ends in the death of the unborn baby. This is why I have started a facebook group, to try and let women know that there is a right and good choice in regards to dealing with her unborn baby that does not involve killing it.

No wonder feminists do not want women to see an ultrasound of their unborn baby boy or girl. She will see her unborn baby's heart beat and even move around even though she may not feel it. Seems like feminists want to keep women ignorant about their "choice" to kill her unborn baby. Seems to me that such a choice is not really free since it is a choice based in ignorance and that it is the only choice feminists will tolerate.

A Call To Adopt The Unborn Orphans In America

I have been greatly affirmed in my call to stand for the unborn after reading Adopted For Life. There is a facebook page that has been created to further this mission. Please join the campaign and invite your friends to so as well.

Time For Christians To Lead The Way On Adoption

An expansive view of what an orphan is ought to include the unborn as well. Christian families need to step up and lead the way in adopting orphans throughout the world and by pleading with women in crisis pregnancies to give their unwanted child to them. Orphan Sunday is a good way to get the discussion going in your churches and with your friends. Imagine what a national campaign to adopt unborn babies not wanted by their mothers could do?

If You Do Not Like Gay Adoption, Then Make It A Mute Point By Adopting A Child Yourself

The state of Arkansas has passed a law banning the adoption of children by gay parents and unmarried couples. This is obviously being challenged in court. I actually agree with this type of law. And I also think that those, who like me, agree with it need to step up and make this issue go away by adopting these children. This means adopting unwanted babies and children in foster care. If you are on facebook please check out a group page seeking to mobilize people to adopt unwanted babies as a way to show women in crisis pregnancies that there is a real alternative to abortion.

The disturbing thing in America is that it is cheaper and quicker to kill the unborn boy or girl via abortion than to adopt the unwanted child to someone who wants to love him or her. We especially need people willing to get involved financially and help cover the costs of those called to adopt these abandoned children. Remember that one of the purest expression of one's faith is in the care of the orphan.

What Could An Adoption Campaign Do?

I have been wondering lately about all those "million" this or that movements of the past. Whether or not they had lasting impact might be hard to determine. Here is one that I have been pondering.

Could we mobilize at least a million couples, husbands and wives, to commit to adopting the unwanted babies of newly pregnant women? I am woefully ignorant of all the logistics of such a thing but it seems it could have a dramatic impact on the number of abortions in America. Not only would we need couples to declare their intent but there would also need to be a massive call for donations to cover the costs of going through the adoption process. I think many couples do not adopt because of all the hurdles and expenses involved.

Just think if there was a national campaign informing pregnant women that there is an option to abortion and even a demand. That would also call the bluff on the pro-abortion crowd that say they would like to see the number of abortions decrease, when that is always stated as an after thought. Imagine the profits of Planned Parenthood dropping so much that they would be forced to complain and ask for more federal funding? I would like to see what a national adoption campaign would do in exposing what Planned Parenthood is all about, abortion and not much else. Most importantly, it could change the tide in America and be an example to the world.
