Philosopher William L. Craig on Obama and Human Rights

Here is an audio clip from a philosophical and theological powerhouse. I think having well argued reasons for defending the personhood of the unborn is important. This short clip will give you some basic ammo and resources.

McCain's VP Pick, Brilliance or Madness?

I'll go out on a limb and say absolutely brilliant. The Liberal spin machine is already trying to define Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as inexperienced and not qualified. She apparently has in her short time left a strong track record as a reformer. She is also the only one with executive experience among all the candidates.

Before responding to the Liberal attacks, let me first state why she could be what the enthusiasm gap doctor ordered. She has a compelling story and has made radically consistent pro-life decisions. She knew her newly born baby boy had down syndrome and yet she choose life and had him. This offers one of most clearly defined differences on the issue of life in recent history. The Liberal Obama ticket is abortion absolutist to the extreme, so much so as to tolerate infanticide of down syndrome babies. I think this will also rally the base and also maybe cause Democratic Party women to rethink their commitment to vote for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Now to the attacks. They might say she was a mayor of a tiny town or only been a governor for a few years. Well, it looks like she's accomplished more in those two years than Barack Obama has in his entire legislative career as a state Senator and as a U.S. Senator. If she continues to be attacked along these lines, it only undermines Obama's credentials as well. They say she has no foreign policy experience, well neither does Obama. I wonder if that line of attack will pour salt on the wounds left by the way Hillary Clinton was treated during the primary. Time will tell. It will fun to watch.

Comments welcome. Especially from the female readers.

A Theological Look At Abortion

Here is a pastor giving some of his thoughts about abortion and looking at in the proper context. Two things I would like to focus on that is said. One, that we should err on the side of caution if we are as truly ignorant about when life begins as pro-choice advocates like to argue. Why not then say if we do not know when human personhood begins then lets not haphazardly kill a million unborn boys and girls of all races and ethnicities each year. Second, he cites the good work of CPC's, Crisis Pregnancy Centers. CPC's like the one this blog is working with will hopefully help motivate, inform, and enlist more people for the cause of the unborn.

The Abortion Absolutist Ticket Complete

It is painfully obvious that the liberal abortion absolutist politics of the Democratic Party are not going to change anytime soon. With the pick of Senator Joe Biden as Barack Obama's running mate, all pretense about their unyielding commitment to abortion on demand has been removed. Pro-life analysis usually gives Biden a O% pro-life voting record. While Planned Parenthood gives Biden a 100% pro-choice voting record. If McCain waivers on his pro-life commitment then there may not be a viable candidate to support for those of us concerned about the defense of the unborn. But one thing should be clear, a vote for Obama/Biden is out of the equation.

Francis Schaeffer's Analysis of Roe v. Wade

Francis Schaeffer's critique of the Supreme Court's decision to legalize abortion still resonates today. Schaeffer rightly identifies the radical new notion of where the value of human life comes from, in that the Court firmly grounded it in the arbitrary will of the one standing in a position of power over the other. In the case off abortion, then the mother's arbitrary decision, no matter how much of a struggle the process was, is still purely arbitrary and determined on the mother's wanting to keep the baby. This also has radical implications for the rest of humanity.

The logical implication of this line of thought is one that dehumanizes all of humanity. This should be particularly evident with the increasing paradigm of looking at the world in terms of a global community or body that is interconnected and dependent on everything else. Following the arbitrary logic of abortion rights, then the global body could someday arbitrarily decide that certain segments of the world population is undesirable and therefore needs to be aborted from Mother Earth. Those who hold to a theistic view of the world, but particularly a Christian view of the world, need to realize that there is a lot more at stake than the defense of the unborn and false philosophies and world views that justify such an evil act.

Planned Parenthood on Power 106

A couple weeks ago on Power 106 I heard a radio ad... "this is my planned parenthood story". The new ad campaign is women sharing their story and how planned parenthood helped them. It's very smart, very creative and touching. I am really annoyed with it because although it sounds genuine its not. If they cared so much they would tell women the truth about the choices they are making, the truth about the pain that follows, the truth about long term affects. They say we make those things up, they say we give false information. If that were true then they wouldn't be pushing so hard to try to shut us down. We are a threat because we challenge their motive, money. We are not a money hungry business, we are a free clinic offering good, true and accurate information. Speaking truth to young women and then leaving them to make their own educated decisions. We do not exist to judge. We exist to love no matter what.

You can go to planned parenthoods press release to hear the ads. let me know what you think. Someone who believes in our cause should sponsor a radio ad for us! That would be amazing.

Above his pay grade?

Those concerned about the unborn got a powerful glimpse into the mind of Senator Barack Obama over the weekend. At Pastor Rick Warren's Forum, Senator Obama was asked point blank about the status of the unborn. Obama's response can only be seen as evasive. Obama said that the answer to that question was "above my pay grade". Well, apparently it is not, since the Senator has one of the most extreme voting records on abortion in recent political history. Those pesky little things known as facts are out there in the public and repeated denials of such facts will not make them go away.

Here is an interview done just after the Warren Forum and Obama is confronted again about his failure to stand against infanticide as a state Senator. Again, Obama chooses to dig in and defend his position by attacking those exposing it for how truly morally depraved it is. Hopefully this issue will remain in the news throughout the rest of campaign and Senator McCain will be feisty enough to use it.

Obama's Planned Parenthood Speech

Along with the Democratic Party's unyielding commitment to abortion on demand, this Obama speech to Planned Parenthood should send pro-life Democrats running from their Party. Radical abortion absolutists are dictating their will to the those of the likes of Obama who is also ideologically driven on this issue. Senator Obama is even willing to lie about how radical he truly is when he following his position to its logical end and accepted infanticide as a consequence to his abortion views.
http://www.lifenews.com/state3448.html

Remember Planned Parenthood celebrates their Nazi sympathizing founder, Margaret Sanger? Until the Democratic Party has a major shift in world view, namely away from Liberalism, it seems their current Presidential nominee's acceptance of infanticide might just be the tip of the iceberg for what may be ahead. Maybe euthanizing the elderly and sick is not as far off as we thought.

Beware of Crisis Pregnancy Centers?

Being a man I am a little uncomfortable reading and citing blogs by radical feminists. I know they like to call all men pigs or sexists. But when they go into hysterics over health clinics like Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs) making a positive impact on women's lives and their unborn baby boys or girls, I must risk the feminists wrath on my manhood and character.

http://www.feministing.com/archives/010220.html

I find this particular bloggers reaction to the "dangerous" CPCs most revealing in terms of what the pro-life movement is up against. If one goes to a CPC website, chances are you'll find that all of the same services are available except one. Now can you guess which one that is? Yep, the only one not available is abortion. If these Left-wing feminists were really concerned about women's health, wouldn't they welcome the help to meet what is an apparently large need?

They would if they were not solely concerned about abortion. I suspect that even though they claim to offer adoption and other services they push abortion as the main solution to a woman who finds herself with an unplanned pregnancy. For feminists the only choice they'll tolerate is the one that leads to the mother killing her baby regardless of the real health risks to the woman. It seems the best way to drive a feminist crazy is to make a truly informed choice that takes into consideration what is best for the woman's unborn baby boy or girl. So I hope to see a growing number of feminists needing therapy or prozac in order to cope with the number of surprised mother's making freely and fully informed choices for life. Mother's who are not swayed by the anti-life hysteria of feminists who would rather see a mother choose to kill her unborn baby.

Let's be clear, pro-choice is really pro-abortion

http://http//www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2008/jun/08061010.html

There is a lot of sophisticated rhetoric around the abortion issue these days. The best example of this is that when someone like Senator Barack Obama or former President Bill Clinton asserts that they would like to see the number of abortions reduced. The problem is that their actions stand in total contradiction to such assertions.

The article above points this out in Obama's case. If he truly was concerned about reducing abortion, would he actively seek to overturn all current restrictions on abortion? Not only will Obama overturn common sense restrictions on abortion, he is so hard line on the issue he is willing to tolerate infanticide.

Remember President Clinton vetoed bans on partial birth abortion?

It should be painfully clear to anyone concerned about defending the life of the unborn that there is an attempt to manipulate such sentiments and to patronize pro-life advocates by telling them how their passion for the issue is understood. It seems a President Obama will have infanticide in one form or another.

Time for men to be men

I want to address an aspect of abortion that may be overlooked in this contentious debate. That is the role of the father of the unborn baby boy and girl. I think that abortion can provide an easy out to the new responsibility of being a father and having to make a commitment to the mother. Even worse than not want to take responsibility for his actions, the man might be placing severe pressure on the mother to abort her unborn baby.

Let me suggest a response to this by the use of an analogy. I am a blue collar worker in the manufacturing industry. The people I work with, mostly guys, like to come up with one-liners to reflect how to deal with some new safety program or new situation. A phrase like "it is what it is" is rather popular right now. Let me suggest one for the men who have fathered an unplanned baby girl or boy: If you're man enough to do the deed, be a man and raise the fruit of your seed.

If you're not man enough to do that then try and make one fatherly decision and encourage the mother of you child to give her unborn baby up for adoption.

Fewer abortion providers in the West require new adoption campaign

There appears to be a change emerging in the West that could effect the number of abortions performed. The number of abortions could be even more impacted provided that one particular alternative is emphasized.
That alternative needs to be adoption. The tragedy of the article referenced is that the very idea of adoption was not even considered as an alternative to abortion. The mother would rather try and drink herself to death in order to kill her baby than give her baby boy or girl up for adoption.
Imagine a national campaign that emphasized adoption as an alternative to abortion. Along with continued advocacy for the life of the unborn, an adoption campaign could have dramatic effects on the number of abortions in the United States. Adopting parents might not have to fly half way across the country in order to adopt. America needs to recover the concepts of motherhood and fatherhood. Such a recovery might help newly informed parents that the right way to look at the issue is: What is best for your unborn baby boy or girl?
