The United Nations Is Pro-Abortion And Militant About It, As Is Obama

There is a troubling trend growing within the "pro-choice" crowds, and that is seeking to deny real choice to those who disagree with them. The latest incarnation of this is the United Nations and it's pressure on Ireland to legalize abortion. Who knew that Ireland needs reforms on human rights? What is even more disturbing is Barack Obama's support to add a tax on the American people that will go directly to the United Nations. This Global Poverty Tax bill will require 0.7% of the United States budget to go to the U.N. and this amounts to about $2,500 from each American tax payer. There could be a new concerted effort by the pro-abortion absolutists to intimidate those who disagree with them if Barack Obama is elected President. We will need religious leaders who will be willing to stand against this and it is encouraging to see that some pastors are realizing now the need to confront a law limiting what can be preached from the pulpit.

Liberal Feminists Rally To Planned Parenthood

With the 2008 Presidential election offering dramatically different candidates and world views those candidates have, it is becoming increasingly clear what is at stake. Feminists are encouraging donations to Planned Parenthood to fight the Palin effect on the Republican ticket. Well let me suggest an alternative and life affirming way to counter this. Make donations to a pro-life clinic that needs your support.

If you spend any time reading radical pro-abortion blogs you will soon realize the need to counter how much influence they have with Liberal Democrats, especially Barack Obama. This is particularly unnerving in that they refer to the unborn baby boy or girl as a tumor or a parasite. For such thinking adoption is not even a serious alternative and that is very troubling. Whatever happened to the notion of motherhood in particular and parenthood in general?

Weak Feminist Reasons For Abortion

If feminists are truly excited about a short video clip arguing for abortion, then the pro-life crowd ought to be encouraged. Here are some thoughts about it that I posted in their comments section....

If these are the best arguments that the "anti-lifers" can put forward, then I think there is good news for those concerned about unborn boys and girls. And can we get past the name calling? I think pro-choice and pro-life are legitimate.

As to this video it is filled with poor arguments. Using the history of evolution to say we really do not know when life began to justify we do not know when life begins now is weak. It follows that we cannot say those typing in this blog have life in any definitive sense. Science shows us an immediate reaction upon conception. There is no new information added after that. Science shows us life begins at conception, the debate is over the value of that life.

Then it is argued that the unborn baby has no brain and feelings to justify abortion. If that is a basis for abortion than after 2-3 months it could be argued that the unborn baby boy or girl has the capacity for those things, thus this argument allows for restrictions on abortions. The heart starts to beat in about 5-6 weeks and the brain is developing shortly after that. The later the abortion the more likely the unborn baby boy or girl feels pain. So you all should agree to limits on abortion after a few months if like this videos logic.

There is also a huge difference between a miscarriage and an abortion. Taking direct action to end a life has moral implications. The mocking of using the death certificate example does nothing for the argument. The issue of one's personal beliefs digresses into complete relativism. If one goes that route than there is no stopping where it ends. Saying if you believe life begins at conception or after the first breath as mere opinion is dangerous. Philosopher Peter Singer argues that the parents should be allowed to kill their baby up to 28 days. This is purely arbitrary and the line can be moved to any point in one's life.

The closing argument is just ridiculous. As stated before science shows us that life begins at fertilization. Stop basing this argument on the Dark Ages of prenatal medicine. If this video is seen as a strong argument for abortion rights then the pro-life side of the issue should be comforted. The last point is to another comment that was posted. The issue of not being able to use another's body without permission. This just denies biology. More importantly it confuses identity with dependence. Just because one is temporarily dependent on another biologically doesn't mean they do not have a separate and valuable identity. Following the posters logic, then infanticide is justified. The newborn is still dependent on his or her mother and father, does that mean the baby has no identity, I think not.

You cannot critique China then following the line of thought of the video. Sex selective abortions are justified. Also applying the body analogy. China probably sees their political system as an organic body, thus they can decide who lives or dies regardless of in the womb or out of the womb. The only way to combat this logical and necessary consequence is to ground human personhood and identity at the moment of conception. If it is not then there is no logical place it can be asserted without destroying all the pro-choice arguments for abortion on demand.

Proposition 4: Parent Notification

For your child to receive an aspirin at school they require a parent signature, makes sense it's a medication. What doesn't make sense is that if you had a daughter who was pregnant her boyfriends mother can take her out of school and schedule her for an abortion. Your signature, approval or opinion does not matter anymore! She can have a surgical procedure without your permission but she can't receive aspirin unless you give written consent. Now don't you think that's crazy! Parental notification requires that parents be informed of the procedure before it happens but it does not mean you have a right to stop it.

This is our 3rd time voting on this issue. Please vote and vote your values! Proposition 4 Parental Notification- Wouldn't you want to know if your daughter was scheduled for an abortion?

Sarah Palin's Baby Trig Has Finally Exposed The Pro-Abortion Crowd

It is difficult to assess the viral and over the top reaction to Sarah Palin's rise into political stardom. I think one possibility is that her pro-life commitments have helped to reveal how much of a eugenic mindset the pro-abortion crowd really has. This is so much the case that a Canadian doctor has publicly voiced concerns that Palin's decision would lead to fewer abortions of undesirables, in this case, people with down syndrome.

This is a topic that the abortion absolutists do not want to talk about, and the Palin nomination is forcing it upon them and exposing their hypocrisy on this issue. Abortion on demand justifies killing unborn baby boys and girls for any reason, but particularly in cases of birth defects. In the name of compassion, it is determined, that it is more humane to kill the unborn boy or girl than to let the child live and suffer for a lifetime. This would also unduly burden the rest of society who would have to pay for the extra treatment that may be required.

This has even got the Democratic Vice Presidential nominee, Joe Biden, flustered. He thinks it a stroke of brilliance by attacking Palin on the stem cell issue. The reference is too obvious to deny. Stem cell research is akin to organ harvesting. You kill someone else because there might be the possibility the more desirable person can be saved. Eugenics lead to the murder of millions of people in 20Th Century. It is now justifying the murder of millions in the womb. Unless the pro-life movement refutes this kind of thinking, eugenics could be back in full force on fully born babies, children and even adults. Keep on fighting and get involved.

Philosopher William L. Craig On Palin

I few posts ago I thought it would be interesting for you to hear comments by Dr. Craig on Obama's world view and it's implications on life issues. Now Dr. Craig shares some thoughts on the Republican Vice Presidential nominee, Sarah Palin. What is very important for people who care about defending the unborn to understand is that world views (ideas) have consequences and even necessary consequences, meaning that they cannot be otherwise.

The two audio clips cited above should remove all doubt that there will be radically different implications for the unborn depending on who is elected as President and Vice President. What is even more important to understand is that Barack Obama and Sarah Palin have followed their beliefs (ideas) to their logical consequences in equally consistent ways. Obama is so committed to abortion that he followed such a commitment to it's logical end and that was accepting infanticide.

Palin is committed to the pro-life cause and she is so committed to it that she did not abort her down syndrome baby boy when she found out about it while pregnant. Unfortunately 80-90% of mother's who receive the same news abort their babies. Even dealing with teen pregnancy, Palin has shown remarkable consistency on this. Her 17 year old daughter is pregnant and is keeping the baby. Not to mention an Obama Presidency would permit underage pregnant girls to get an abortion without their parents being notified. So the choices are radically different this time around. Will the American people and those concerned for the unborn sweep infanticide under the rug or take a stand for life and say enough is enough. I hope it is the later.

She Nicknamed Her Unborn Baby "Tumor"

The issue of abortion needs to be seen in the context of a world view. It is important to see Liberalism as pro-abortion not just pro-choice. Hence the new links on this blog to Liberal websites. It is best to go to the source to truly see what someone believes. One such place is a feminist blog which I found the following story to bring to your attention.

A woman finds herself with an unwanted pregnancy and the only way out of it for her is to have an abortion. While referring to someone who wanted to adopt it she decides to name her embryo "Tumor". If that does not give us an amazing and often hidden insight to what Liberals really think about unwanted baby boys or girls, I do not know what would. She discusses her trips to the abortion clinic to get ready for her abortion, it seems she has not had it yet. She discusses some different prices and even a discount package that is available. Those of us who oppose abortion need to realize that this is largely about money.

Any reduction in the number of abortions is bad for business. And since abortion is seen as a right, rights are only useful so long as one uses it. That is why pro-abortion advocates cannot tolerate adoptions and the good work pro-life clinics do. As pro-life clinics that do not offer abortion become more vocal and to have more of an impact in communities, I would expect groups like Planned Parenthood and NARAL to try and shut them down or scare women away from them.

End the Funding of Planned Parenthood

First, a warning to follow the link to the newest Planned Parenthood website. This sight is under the guise of education but promotes homosexuality, group sex, and promiscuity to our teenagers. So you have been forewarned about going to this sight. The Federal funding of Planned Parenthood has got to be eliminated. They are undermining parents rights via parental consent laws, and now undermining the values that parents try and instill into their children. And guess who is an arch supporter of Planned Parenthood? That's right Senator Barack Obama. Another of the many and growing reasons not to vote for him. To see Senator Obama's speech to Planned Parenthood go here.

What Could An Adoption Campaign Do?

I have been wondering lately about all those "million" this or that movements of the past. Whether or not they had lasting impact might be hard to determine. Here is one that I have been pondering.

Could we mobilize at least a million couples, husbands and wives, to commit to adopting the unwanted babies of newly pregnant women? I am woefully ignorant of all the logistics of such a thing but it seems it could have a dramatic impact on the number of abortions in America. Not only would we need couples to declare their intent but there would also need to be a massive call for donations to cover the costs of going through the adoption process. I think many couples do not adopt because of all the hurdles and expenses involved.

Just think if there was a national campaign informing pregnant women that there is an option to abortion and even a demand. That would also call the bluff on the pro-abortion crowd that say they would like to see the number of abortions decrease, when that is always stated as an after thought. Imagine the profits of Planned Parenthood dropping so much that they would be forced to complain and ask for more federal funding? I would like to see what a national adoption campaign would do in exposing what Planned Parenthood is all about, abortion and not much else. Most importantly, it could change the tide in America and be an example to the world.
