Our church currently has about 12 couples either becoming foster parents, going through the adoption process, or have actually adopted already. A new website called Project Hope Speaks has been set up to share these stories and to affirm the biblical teaching on care for the orphan.
I think just as their is a need to defend the cause of the orphan outside the womb, I think there is a need to defend the orphan from those who want preemptively kill the orphan in the womb. May Christians defend orphans no matter what size they are.
"Learn to do right; seek justice.
Defend the oppressed.
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow." Isaiah 1:17
