NARAL (National Abortion and Reproduction Rights Action League) has launched a major offensive against prolife centers and clinics, both nationally and within California. They recently released a report of a two year undercover investigation on California prolife centers and clinics. Many aspects of their report are misleading and biased. Their goal is to eliminate every prolife center/clinic.
I was recently notified that Planned Parenthood representatives were talking to shoppers outside a Whittier Trader Joe’s store. So, WPCC must face the possibility that pro-abortion advocates are preparing for an attack on Whittier Pregnancy Care Clinic soon.
How do we respond to this? Well, WPCC was founded and established in prayer, has been sustained with prayer, and will continue to exist through prayer and God’s favor. We have an opportunity to take a STRONG stand for life in this community through participation in 40 Days for Life.
Without going into detail here, WPCC NEEDS YOUR HELP to participate in the 40 Days for Life. We need 5 to 10 individuals to be willing to donate 1 (occasionally, 2 hours) a week for the months of August, September and October. With this small group of people volunteering short-term for “life” we can make a HUGE impact in our community. We can see the power of the Holy Spirit at work as more clients are brought into the clinic and we can see the Spirit of God work on the hearts of abortion providers – opening their eyes to see the truth of abortion.
WPCC is not a large clinic and we absolutely need the help of volunteers to make an impact in our community. WILL YOU PLEASE PRAY ABOUT WHETHER GOD IS CALLING YOU TO GIVE TO HIM 1-2 HOURS OF YOUR TIME EACH WEEK FOR THE NEXT 3 MONTHS?
The application deadline for 40 Days for Life is SATURDAY! The Board of Directors has indicated that they do not want to see WPCC’s staff overloaded and that we MUST have volunteers commit to help us if we are to participate in the 40 Days for life. Although I don’t have space here to go into the details (the 40 Days for Life website is: www.40daysforlife.com), please know that your time commitment will only be 1-2 two hours weekly, you will receive ALL the training you need, and you will have all the support you need. We will be working together to bring about, what I believe, will be monumental life-saving, God-honoring change in our community.
