Obama Defends Abortion On 39Th Anniversary Of Roe V. Wade; Hypocrical Reasoning

How would one describe President Obama's statement on the 39Th anniversary of the legalization of abortion? Asinine is a good start. I am drawn toward hypocritical and evil. As toward the hypocrisy, it is appealing to the rights of women to justify the unregulated slaughter of women still in the womb. From the White House:

As we mark the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we must remember that this Supreme Court decision not only protects a woman’s health and reproductive freedom, but also affirms a broader principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters. I remain committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose and this fundamental constitutional right. While this is a sensitive and often divisive issue- no matter what our views, we must stay united in our determination to prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant woman and mothers, reduce the need for abortion, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption. And as we remember this historic anniversary, we must also continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.

That is right, "woman's health" must be defended by letting unborn women to be, be killed on a daily basis. There are no rights for "our daughters" who are mercilessly killed on a daily basis at Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics. Just remember that this is coming from a man who was willing to tolerate the evil of infanticide in order to keep abortion unregulated.

The American people in general and Christians in particular need to understand something: The evil that President Obama has tolerated and lied about tolerating in the past, namely infanticide, proves that we cannot trust him or the Democrats with our health care. For what kind of evil will they tolerate next?

Let me first remind you of the Obama’s attack on those who exposed his tolerance of infanticide, in that he was so committed to abortion that he was willing to let newborn babies die in order to preserver abortion on demand.

Now to then state Senator Obama’s comments: the truly offending comments come around 6:30 in the video when Obama says he does not want to burden the mother, as the bill would require intervention, if the child is born alive.

President Obama has surrounded himself with radical Liberal Totalitarians who have adopted a racially cleansed version of eugenics. If he was willing to tolerate infanticide in order to maintain his pro-abortion absolutism, then abortion is going to be a key element to Obamacare. The elderly are in danger as well. Once Liberals devalue human life to the extent that they have there is no stopping whose life is cheapened.

This is why no Christian can support President Obama or his fellow Liberals in Congress. Christians who support President Obama are helping to spread one of the most wicked acts found in the Bible, child sacrifice.

Not only are Christians who support Liberals helping to propagate sin, they are also helping to ensure that their brethren, who remain faithful to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, will be persecuted. For what else can happen when the State makes sin a public right and faithful Christians preach salvation through Jesus Christ in the repentance of such sin? Have we forgotten that Jesus rebuked Saul for persecuting Him when he persecuted the first Christians?

Planned Parenthood May Be De-Funded By New Hampshire

Republicans taking a stand against the most oppresses class of humanity in the history of the world. From Life News:

After the Obama administration forced the state to fund Planned Parenthood, the New Hampshire legislature is taking steps to revoke taxpayer funding for the abortion business.

The New Hampshire House of Representatives passed HB 228 by an overwhelming margin of 207 to 147, prioritizing state-controlled family planning dollars away from abortion businesses such as Planned Parenthood. The funding is prioritized to public and private entities that provide comprehensive health care to women and do not perform abortions.

The bill’s language, inserted as an amendment by Rep. Warren Groen (R-Rochester), was developed by the Alliance Defense Fund and the Susan B. Anthony List and the bill containing the amendment now heads to the state Senate for consideration.

“The House-passed bill ensures that taxpayer funds are prioritized to entities dedicated to providing comprehensive health care to women, not abortion,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B Anthony List. “This is a great victory in what has become a nationwide battle to stop taxpayer funding of abortion providers such as Planned Parenthood.”

Michael Tierney, an Alliance Defense Fund-allied attorney in Manchester, New Hampshire who helped promote the language, added, “It is time to get New Hampshire taxpayers out of the abortion business. Planned Parenthood’s business model is centered on abortion, and New Hampshire taxpayers want no part in it.”

Alliance Defense Fund Senior Counsel Mike Norton chimed in as well: “Every innocent life deserves to be protected. Taxpayer dollars should go toward helping and caring for the most vulnerable Americans, not killing them. New Hampshire taxpayers should not be forced to fund abortions.”

Last June, the New Hampshire Executive Council voted to cancel a $1.8 million dollar contract with Planned Parenthood, citing that taxpayers would be subsidizing the abortion business. After that decision, the Obama Administration awarded a non-competitive $1 million contract with Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, bypassing the state’s earlier decision to reject taxpayer funding of the abortion giant.

Later last year, the New Hampshire Executive Council filed a formal protest with the Department of Health and Human Services and the Government Accountability Office complaining about the grant...

Gingrich: Take Planned Parenthood's Money And Use It For Adoption

If you think about it, the end result is really the same for a woman who does not want her baby. Adoption places the unwanted child into a family that wants it and the mother is not burdened by the baby. Instead of killing her unborn baby, she give it up for adoption. Newt Gingrich has a good idea in calling for funds to be taken from Planned Parenthood and used in honoring life through adoption. From CNS News:

“I would like to defund Planned Parenthood,” Gingrich said at a presidential forum on Monday in Myrtle Beach, S.C., sponsored by the Faith and Freedom Coalition. “I want to take all of that money and put it directly into adoption services to give young women the choice of life, not the culture of death.”

Gingrich faulted both President Barack Obama and Republican presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney for their records on abortion.

Planned Parenthood receives federal grants and contract, which are supposed to be used for family planning services and not for abortions. However, because money is fungible, pro-life critics say Planned Parenthood should not receive taxpayer money.

According to the latest data, Planned Parenthood performed 332,278 abortions in the United States in fiscal year 2009. That year, the organization also received $363.2 million in government grants and contracts, the latest figures show...

Planned Parenthood Calls Texas Ultrasound Ruling 'Abhorrent'

If Planned Parenthood really only wanted abortion to be a small part of the services it offers women, then the organization's reaction to ultrasound legislation should be minimal. Of course, this is not the case, Planned Parenthood adamantly opposes giving a woman any information about her unborn baby in fear that she might make an informed choice not to abort it. This is why Planned Parenthood's CEO is calling a ruling in Texas that affirms the need for a woman to see an ultrasound "abhorrent". From Life News:

Planned Parenthood has a response to the federal appeals court decision allowing Texas women a chance to see an ultrasound of their baby before an abortion. They call it “abhorrent.”

Writing for the court, Chief Judge Edith Jones was frank about the other side’s failure “to demonstrate constitutional flaws with the law,” which requires women to have a sonogram 24 hours before an abortion. Judge Jones said the state has “legitimate interests in protecting the potential life within her.”

“Denying her up-to-date medical information,” Jones wrote, “is more of an abuse to her ability to decide than providing the information.”

Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, said in a statement that the Fifth Circuit ruling “sets an abhorrent precedent” as other states prepared to consider similar laws to help women receive factual information about their baby and his or her development before making a life or death decision to have an abortion...

Planned Parenthood CEO's Average $158K Annually

The CEO's of Planned Parenthood are living well of the abortion business. Killing babies provides them a decent lifestyle. From Life News:

A watchdog group that monitors the Planned Parenthood abortion business has released a new report showing the CEOs of the affiliates earn an average salary of $158,797 per year — making working in the abortion industry a lucrative job.

“American Life League’s STOPP International project conducted research on the Chief Executive Officers of all the Planned Parenthood affiliates throughout the United States,” the organization said in a new report. “The purpose of this research was to determine the salaries paid to the CEOs, their gender and their management backgrounds.”

Of the 81 affiliates monitored in the new report the sum of the total annual base salaries paid to Planned Parenthood CEOs was $12,862,560. More than 22 CEOs are paid in excess of $200,000 per year and the highest paid dozen heads of abortion businesses include:

Duggars Hold Memorial Service For Lost Baby Girl

News that the Duggar family was pregnant with their 20th child was met with is disdain from the feminists. I suspect that after having a memorial service for their lost baby girl that feminists will be in even more of a rage since the pictures released clearly show a human life was lost. From ABC News:

Reality-TV stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar found a way to commemorate the life of what would have been their 20th child had Michelle not miscarried last week during her second trimester: They handed out black-and-white photos of the stillborn baby girl at a memorial service Wednesday.

TMZ posted the pictures of Jubilee Shalom Duggar, the name the Duggars had given their baby daughter in keeping with the family tradition of beginning all the children’s names with the letter ”J.”

In one of the pictures, obtained by TMZ, a tiny hand can be seen propped up on Michelle’s finger with the words, “Michelle holding Jubilee’s hand.”

In another picture, a tiny foot can be seen with the words, “There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world.”

The Duggars contacted Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, a non-profit organization that helps families deal with the miscarriage and loss of their babies, to take photos the family could keep and use at the memorial service, according to People magazine. A family representative said the photos were intended for private use only and that some were released without the Duggars’ consent.

At Wednesday’s memorial service, attended by hundreds in the Duggars’ hometown Springdale, Ark., a letter Michelle Duggar, 45, recorded for Jubilee was played at the memorial, People reported.

“I feel a great sorrow and grief, and yet at the same time I have a peace in my heart,” she said, according to the magazine. “This is so sad, but I have peace. There are people praying for us and angels surrounding our home, and there was peace in the sorrow and the grief. Those feelings are mingled together.”

The magazine said the couple discovered that Jubilee no longer had a heartbeat during a routine doctor’s appointment Dec. 8. Then, the mother had a miscarriage Dec. 11, the day after their youngest child, Josie, who was born premature at 25 weeks, turned 2...

Looks like it is something that ought to have value to me. Only those pre-natal science denier types would dare dismiss what is so obviously in front of their eyes.

More Abortion Violence: Man Kills Woman For Not Getting One

When was the last time a feminist expressed concerned about women being threatened and coerced into having abortions? Here we have a man who has been charged in the murder of his girlfriend because she did not want to kill her unborn baby boy. From Life Site News:

A Houston man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of murdering a woman pregnant with his child after she refused an abortion.

The Los Angeles Times reports that 19-year-old Joseph Mike Devia was taken into custody at a Navy Training Camp in the Chicago area and is being extradited to Texas. He is being charged with capital murder in the August 2010 death of Omoyeme Obehi Erazua.

Devia had told investigators that he did not know Erazua well, and had not seen her for two months prior to her death, according to the Harris County police report.

He acknowledged that he had arranged to meet her at St. Joseph’s hospital on the night of August 21st after she called him to request a ride, but claimed that she never arrived at the meeting place. Telephone records showed that Devia had received a call from a public telephone at the hospital that night.

Erazua’s body was discovered the next morning in a ditch behind an office building located 13 miles from St. Joseph’s, with stab wounds to her neck and torso.

A DNA sample obtained from Devia reportedly matched blood on Erazua’s body, and also confirmed that he was likely the father of her unborn child.

The report noted that Erazua and Devia had exchanged text messages prior to Erazua’s death which revealed that Devia believed himself to be the father of her child, and that she was refusing his pressure to end the pregnancy.

Erazua was staying at the Mission of Yahweh homeless shelter in Houston at the time of her death, and was seen leaving the shelter with a group of men on the 21st.

According to the autopsy report, she was in her late first or early second trimester, and carrying a boy.

Liberal Opposition To Protecting Minority Babies From Abortion Is Disturbing

When I first heard of this last week, I knew that open minded and minority loving Liberals who care about social justice, would oppose stopping the murder of female and minority babies. Of course, the Left does not disappoint. From Feministing via Think Progress:

For House Republicans, this year has been the year of outlandish answers to non-existent problems. And tomorrow, they will offer the magnum opus of their 2011 campaign against a woman’s right to choose: the Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act (PRENDA). The bill seeks to somehow protect the “civil rights” of fetuses by banning physicians from performing abortions based on the fetus’s race or sex. While the woman would be exempt from prosecution, physicians who perform the procedure can be sued for damages...The act of such selective abortion would be a problem worth addressing if it was actually a problem. In his own state of Arizona (which recently passed a statewide version of this bill), not one state official or independent search offered any support for the claim that women abort babies based on race. What’s more, not only have the number of baby girls born increased since abortion became legal but only 5 percent of abortions take place beyond the point when a fetus’s sex can be determined. In reality, rather than addressing any verifiable prejudice, the bill actually exacerbates the discrimination Franks claims to be targeting.

The real reasons behind high abortion rates among African Americans and minorities are complex. Higher rates of unintended pregnancies, inadequate health insurance, substandard health care, ineffective use of birth control, and poor sex education often leave abortion as the only choice for women. The chief reason behind abortions is unintended pregnancy, not unwanted race or sex.

Notice that the solutions at the end of the quote are all things that contribute to the need for abortion in the first place. Get women to have sex, provide birth control which is never 100 percent effective, give them health care that will cover abortion, and somehow that is supposed to reduce the number of abortions. Sorry, do not expect Liberals to take a stand against the unrestrained oppression of the unborn.

Twins Killed After Wrong One Is Aborted

This is just a disturbing story all around. A mother was pregnant with twins but one had a heart condition that would have required many surgeries. Obviously someone with a pro-abortion mindset would see that such a life would not be a happy one for that child, so it would be better to kill the baby before birth. That decision lead to disastrous consequences. From Life News:

A hospital in Australia making news for having killed the “wrong” twin in an abortion of a health unborn child when the mother of the babies wanted an abortion on her child who doctors said had little chance to live. Now, both babies are dead.

The Herald Sun newspaper reports that the unnamed woman from Victoria had already named her unborn children when doctors told her one of the unborn babies had a congenital heart defect that would requires years of operations, assuming the baby survived long enough to have them. The mother decided to have an abortion, terminating the life of one of her unborn children and allowing the other baby to live.

The newspaper indicates an ultrasound tech checked on the healthy baby before the abortion and determine the child was in a separate amniotic sac than the sibling. However, the abortion, which took place Tuesday afternoon, went awry and the wrong baby was injected with drugs meant to end his or her life.

After the mother was informed of the error, doctors did an emergency Cesarean section and the sick unborn baby was killed in a three-hour operation, the newspaper indicates.

A spokeswoman for the Royal Women’s Hospital apologized, the Herald Sun reported, for the “distressing clinical accident” and said the hospital would conduct an investigation of the mistake.

“The Royal Women’s Hospital can confirm a distressing clinical accident occurred (on Tuesday),” the representative said. “This is a terrible tragedy and the hospital is deeply sorry for the loss suffered by the patient and her family.”

A friend of the mother told the newspaper she is having a difficult time following the error.

“She went to the hospital with two babies and now she has none. And she had the heartache of giving birth to her sick baby. She’s traumatized,” she said. “The hospital said it had followed correct procedure, but how could this happen? The ultrasound clinician said she checked three times before the termination because she didn’t want to make a mistake.”

The newspaper indicates the family is considering legal action and key health officials said they want to know more about how the hospital could have let this accident occur...

The arrogance of someone else deciding that this or that life will not be fulfilling because of some physical problem. She could have put the sick twin up for adoption and let someone else be the mother and father for the child. Some friends of ours adopted a girl from China who had a heart condition and she had major heart surgery and is doing great even though there are still concerns about the future.

There is always hope even in seemingly hopeless situations.

Planned Parenthood Did Not Care About Pregnant Teen That Wanted To Keep Baby

After sitting in the waiting room for two hours, Addison was not allowed to have her fiancé come back with her for the test, despite telling them she was uncomfortable and hated needles. He had to stay in the front waiting room while Addison was taken to a back room, then an exam room where she waited another hour before a Planned Parenthood employee came in with a list of questions for her asking how many sexual partners she had, details of her sexual relationship with her fiancé, and other things. Then she asked Addison the magic question.

“Do you want to have an abortion if you’re pregnant?” When Addison told her no, the woman said:
“Well, you are only seventeen. You really need to make sure you’re ready for parenting and consider abortion.”
But Addison was opposed to abortion, and it had ever even occurred to her to consider abortion.

When they called later to confirm she was pregnant, they said, “We know you said you didn’t want an abortion in your visit today, but we wanted to make sure that is still the case?”

“I said I did not want an abortion and hung up.” Addison says. But she called back for help:
The same day I called them and told them that I had a blood test and it confirmed pregnancy, and I needed to see if I could see a doctor about prenatal care and what I could and couldn’t do, and what would keep the baby healthy. They then told me that unless I had a sexually transmitted disease or wanted an abortion that they could no longer help me. I said so y’all do not help pregnant women? They told me no that they didn’t have doctors for pregnant women.
Sadly, Addison discovered that the 6-story building that advertised itself as a women’s health center and claimed to care for uninsured women was really there for abortion, STD treatment and birth control.

She says she thought to herself, “I thought this was Planned Parenthood, not once-you’re-pregnant-we-can’t-help-you.”

Ultimately, she ended up at a hospital with cramps, and found out she was 10 weeks along instead of the 4 she thought, but the baby didn’t make it. Addison lost her baby to a miscarriage later that month.

People Conceived In Rape Have A Right To Life (Video)

I attended an annual fundraiser for the Whittier Pregnancy Care Clinic and heard an amazing talk by Rebecca Kiessling.

She is a woman whose mother was raped and her life is the result of that rape. I admit that when it has come to supporting legislation that restricted abortion expect in cases of rape I rationalized it out to justify such an exception. After listening to the powerful testimony of Rebecca and her work as a lawyer, I am convinced that such an exception is no longer defensible. Here is a video of Rebecca responding to some questions about abortion and rape. Some of the things that she says people who are pro-choice tell her are shameful and lack any compassion.

Here are some more people detailing their experiences as men and women who were conceive in rape.

I think anyone who has previously justified having exceptions for abortion because of rape need to rethink their view. In essence, they are are saying that Rebecca and others should never have been born.

Planned Parenthood Closing 12 Clinics In Texas; Good For Rick Perry

This is good news for Republican Presidential candidate Rick Perry who signed legislation de-funding Planned Parenthood. From Life News:

A new confirmed total of 12 Planned Parenthood facilities have been shut down in Texas since the end of the 82ndlegislative special session, which dealt the abortion industry a $64.2 million blow.

Without government funding, Planned Parenthood facilities are withering on the vine. New funding priorities set by the legislature detail that any facility associated with the abortion industry is given the lowest priority for family planning funds. As a result, three Planned Parenthood affiliates have been forced to close several of their facilities in order to reduce operating costs.

Mother Chooses Life For Unborn Daughter By Refusing Cancer Treatment (Video)

The example that Stacy Crimm has given us is truly amazing. She was diagnosed with life threatening cancer shortly after finding out she was pregnant. Stacy decided that she would risk her own life in order to give life to her daughter by refusing to undergo chemotherapy while she was pregnant. From News Ok:

Stacie Crimm called her brother with astonishing news.

“You're not going to believe this,” she said.
She laughed and cried all at once that day in March as she explained that five pregnancy tests showed she would be having a child. It was a joyous surprise at age 41 but even more so because she'd been told she would never be able to get pregnant, said her brother, Ray Phillips.
But even as she shopped for clothes for the child she longed to hold in her arms, she knew something was not right.
She sent 159 text messages about her pregnancy to her brother in the months that followed. Many were joyful but then the bone-chilling messages came in during the predawn hours. She said severe headaches and double vision tortured her while tremors wracked her entire body.
“I'm worried about this baby,” she texted.
“I hope I live long enough to have this baby,” said another message. “Bubba, if anything happens to me, you take this child.”
Initially, she and her brother used the Internet to try to diagnose her illness. The single mother-to-be had been exposed to mold while she was remodeling her home and her symptoms seemed to match up to mold exposure.
At her family's encouragement, she visited a number of doctors. In July, a CT scan revealed that she had head and neck cancer.
Now she had to choose between her life and her baby's life. Phillips said she agonized only for a while before deciding against taking potentially lifesaving chemotherapy in hopes that she would soon hold a healthy baby in her arms.

Stacy's conditioned worsened and doctor's had to do an emergency C-section. In the hospital Stacy finally got to hold her daughter before she died.

On Sept. 8, Crimm stopped breathing and once again was resuscitated. Hospital doctors and nurses warned the family that she likely was dying.
“Her heart had stopped. She quit breathing. She was technically dead, and then they brought her back,” said Ray Phillips.
But she had not yet held the baby whose life she had chosen above her own.
She'd never touched the golden fluff of fuzz framing her baby Dottie's angelic face. Never counted those fingers as tiny and perfect as a doll's. Never looked into those dark blue eyes.
But a quiet yet determined nurse and mother, Agi Beo, couldn't bear to think of Crimm's emotional pain.
“She was in the last stage with the brain tumor. And she never got to see the baby,” Beo said.
“This baby was everything she had in this world.”
With Crimm's death imminent, Beo worked with nurse Jetsy Jacob to step up their questioning of the family, healthcare professionals and disease experts about Crimm's condition, including her staph infection. They talked to Neoflight, the medical center's neonatal transport team, about using a capsule-like ICU to safely move Dottie.
When his sister regained consciousness later that day, Phillips asked what she thought about possibly seeing Dottie. Crimm's eyes popped open and she raised her hands as if to ask where was her child.
Nurses wheeled Dottie down the hallway to her mother moments later. Phillips said doctors, nurses and others clad in protective gear gathered as nurses carefully lifted the baby from the incubator under her mother's watchful eye.
They placed the baby on her mother's chest. Mother and child gazed into each other's eyes for several minutes. She smiled at the baby who at last lay in her arms.
No one said a word. No one had a dry eye.
Stacie Crimm died three days later.
Last week, Ray Phillips fulfilled his last promise to his sister. Healthy, 5-pound Dottie went home to live with Ray and Jennifer Phillips and her four new siblings.

Pelosi Lies About Republican Abortion Bill

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi is no stranger to making some of the most absurd statement while attacking Republicans. Her latest examples comes from complaining about a new bill that would stop the funding of abortion in ObamaCare. From Life News:

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took her pro-abortion rhetoric to a new level, today saying Republicans “want women to die on the floor” in expressing her opposition to a bill stopping taxpayer funding of abortions in Obamacare.

“For a moment, I want to get back to what was asked about the issue on the floor today that Mr. Hoyer address,” Pelosi said. “He made a point and I want to emphasize it. Under this bill, when the Republicans vote for this bill today, they will be voting to say that women can die on the floor and health care providers do not have to intervene if this bill is passed. It’s just appalling.”

Pelosi is bastardizing a portion of the bill that reinstates conscience protections for pro-life medical workers who don’t want to be involved in abortions.

The Protect Life Act makes it clear that no funds authorized or appropriated by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), including tax credits and cost-sharing reductions, may be used to pay for abortion or abortion coverage. It specifies that individual people or state or local governments must purchase a separate elective abortion rider or insurance coverage that includes elective abortion but only as long as that is done with private funds and not monies authorized by Obamacare...

DNC Chair Defends Planned Parenthood Against Justified Investigation

DNC Chief Debbie Wasserman Shultz is essentially saying she will tolerate all kinds of evil in order to defend abortion. From the Sun Sentinel:

South Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz accused Republican colleagues on Wednesday of launching a “burdensome and politically motivated, big-government investigation” of Planned Parenthood.

House Republicans led by Cliff Stearns of Ocala have requested details about how the women’s health organization keeps federal funds separate from abortion services.

The National Journal reported that Stearns, chairman of a House oversight committee, sent Planned Parenthood a six-page letter earlier this month detailing the committee’s request. House Republicans are trying to strip Planned Parenthood of federal funding because it provides abortions, though federal funds are not used for that service.

“I am a strong supporter of congressional oversight, however, the scope and nature of this investigation is unprecedented, invasive, and the big-brother equivalent of a modern day denial-of-service attack,” said Wasserman Schultz, a Democrat from Weston.

“Republicans, having failed to strip funds for Planned Parenthood’s essential health-care services through the legislative process, now appear to want to bury Planned Parenthood under a broad and unwarranted political witch hunt.”

Jerry Brown Signs Bill Banning Underage Use Of Tanning Beds But Underage Abortion Is Still Acceptable

In the Democrat mind here in California it is worse for a teenage girl under 18 to go to a tanning salon than to get an abortion. From the SF Chronicle:

Tomas Albert, 17, has a problem.

Though his skin is naturally pale, he prefers to sport a flush of color - especially when on holiday with family in Sicily. Because he tends to redden and burn when he's in the sun, he turns to a tanning bed four times a year.

"It's a lot easier to pick up ladies with a tan," the Oakland teen said.

But the sun-kissed glow coveted by many Californians just got a little harder for teens to achieve. Under legislation signed by Gov. Jerry Brown on Sunday that is now the nation's most restrictive, boys and girls under 18 are banned from using tanning beds as of Jan. 1.

Current law allows minors who are at least 14 to use an ultraviolet tanning device with written permission from their parents.

But state Sen. Ted Lieu, D-Torrance, the bill's sponsor, said the higher age limit is necessary because the type of radiation used in tanning beds can lead to skin damage and melanoma, a potentially fatal form of skin cancer.

"Skin damage is cumulative, so the more exposure one gets younger in life, the worse the harmful effects will be," Lieu said.

Texas has banned children under 16 from using tanning beds, and other states have age restrictions. But California has become the first state to completely bar all minors from the practice.

Melanoma is the leading cause of cancer deaths in women age 25 to 30, according to the California Academy of Family Physicians, one of several health groups that backed the bill.

The warnings don't alarm Tomas, who was shopping with friends at American Eagle Outfitters in downtown San Francisco on Sunday.

Planned Parenthood To Get Long Overdue Investigation

What does it take to get Congress to finally investigate Planned Parenthood? Here is a sad reminder: the cover up of underage child prostitution, the cover up of statutory rape, and the reality that infanticide is intimately connected to the abortion industry. So finally a Congressional committee has the guts to investigate an organization founded on the principles of eugenics. From Life News:

A Congressional committee has taken the first steps in investigating the Planned Parenthood abortion business over abuses ranging from financial disparities to its compliance with federal regulations on taxpayer funding to concerns that it is covering up cases of sex trafficking.

In a September 15 letter LifeNews.com obtained, Rep. Cliff Stearns, a Florida Republican who is the chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Investigations, writes to Cecile Richards, the president of Planned Parenthood.

“Pursuant to Rules X and XI of the United States House of Representatives, the Committee on Energy and Commerce is examining the institutional practices and policies of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and its affiliates, and its handing of federal funding,” Stearns writes. “That Committee has questions about the politics in place and actions undertaken by PPFA and its affiliates relating to its use of federal funding and its compliance with federal restrictions on the funding of abortion.”

The letter asks Richards to comply with current federal regulations and legal obligations by providing Congress with a wide range of documents within two weeks of the date of the letter.

“Please provide all internal audit reports conducted by PPFA and its affiliates from 1998 to 2010. If not clearly indicated in the audit reports, please detail how much PPFA and each affiliate expended and received in Title XIX Medicaid funding, Title X family planning, and any other federal funding,” the letter says.

The letter requests any information related to improper billing related to federally-funded programs, proof that federal funds are not being improperly used to pay for abortions by PPFA or its affiliates, audits by state agencies of any Planned Parenthood affiliate, and documentation of how many affiliates currently receive Title X family planning funding.

The Stearns letter also requests documents on standards and practices related to billing issues, written policies and procedures, and its requests information on how the abortion giant keeps its family planning abortion monies separate and segregated.

The abortion business responded on Twitter, saying, “Stearns is misusing his position to attack Planned Parenthood & women’s health care.”

“Planned Parenthood is a trusted nonprofit health care provider that provides professional, reliable and quality health care, including birth control, lifesaving cancer screenings, annual exams, and STD testing and treatment to three million women and men across the country,” said Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. “This politically motivated investigation is a continuation of the efforts of earlier this year to undermine Planned Parenthood, and more disturbingly, women’s access to the primary and preventive care they need.”

Catholics And Christians Cannot Support Pro-Abortion Candidates

This is probably the main issue that got me into blogging in the first place back in 2008. I could not believe how many Christians were being deceived by then Presidential candidate Barack Obama on abortion. A man who was willing to accept infanticide as a logical and necessary consequence of his views on abortion was being supported by Christians. We now are almost four years later and this issue is here again. On the Catholic side of things, Father Frank Pavone is confronting his fellow Catholics on this issue. From Life News:

Whether it’s an election year or not, I see to it that Priests for Life echoes loud and clear the duty of citizens to inform themselves about where the candidates stand on the issues. This evaluation starts, of course, with where they stand on violence against human beings, because if public servants cannot tell the difference between serving the public and killing the public, they don’t belong in public office.

What if a candidate supported terrorism? Would citizens say, “Well, I disagree with you on terrorism, but what’s your health care plan? Maybe we can work together on some social programs. After all, terrorism isn’t the only issue.”

The parallel, of course, is abortion. “Typically, the skull is brought out in fragments rather than as a unified piece” (Baby-killer Martin Haskell, in 1999 Court testimony in Wisconsin, regarding legal abortion). How can anyone make the case that this skull-cracking, which is still legal, is less violent than terrorism? How can anyone make the case that we can tolerate it while we work with the candidate on “social” programs? The heart of what is “social” is that it respects the other person – and that means not cracking their skull. We fight terrorism, and rightly so. But when we allow abortion at the same time, the evil we fight becomes merely a reflection of the evil we do.

And it’s not only the position of the candidates that matters. It’s also the position of the political party to which the candidate belongs. Elections bring not only candidates, but parties into power. How can the position of those parties on key issues not matter as we evaluate whom we will support?

Many will support a particular party because it’s a family tradition (or a Church tradition?), or because they are in bed with leaders in that party who support their social programs in exchange for their silence on baby-killing. That’s often the reason for the perplexing spinelessness often observed among Church leaders on the abortion issue.

In an interview conducted by Gianni Cardinale and published in October of 2008, now Cardinal Raymond Burke observed, “At this point, the Democratic Party risks transforming itself definitively into a ‘party of death’ due to its choices on bioethical issues.”

Not only is this an accurate observation, but it’s perfectly legitimate to say, even in Church. I know, because Priests for Life passed IRS scrutiny on these points. After all, it is a spiritual work of mercy to “instruct the ignorant.” That’s why at Priests for Life we have information both about candidates and political parties, and how to evaluate them. When I preach – and help other priests to preach – the clear message that candidates and parties must defend life, some – including clergy – complain to me that my message hurts their favorite candidate or party. My response? “Go tell your favorite candidate or party to get the babies’ blood off their hands and clean up their act regarding defending life. Then my words won’t hurt them anymore.”

And neither can Christians be pro-choice or support those who are.

Liberal Intolerance At Pro-Life Presentation On College Campus (Video)

Ryan Bomberger does an excellent job responding to a group of pro-abortion activists that would rather shout him down than talk to him or let him speak. One of the girls shouting actually claims having an abortion is something a good mother does. From Life News:

In all but the last venue, audiences may not always agree, but are willing to hear a perspective that may differ from their own.

Every billboard campaign since, Planned Parenthood and its radically pro-abortion surrogate, SisterSong, have been desperate to find ways to counter our efforts. They’ve found fertile soil on college campuses where they find, often, some well meaning but incredibly uninformed students to parrot their propaganda.

“Trust Black Women! Trust Black Women!” was the chant that disrupted the planned lecture about abortion, black genocide and Planned Parenthood. For nearly twenty minutes, before the presentation could even begin, the protesters barked the mantra at the racially diverse audience and me, in particular. Thankfully, campus police removed them after they repeatedly refused to allow, or be part of, the conversation. Those who remained were able to discuss the substance of the epidemic of abortion, eugenics, and the impact on the black community...

I guess it does not matter to these pro-abortion activists that Planned Parenthood is the leading cause of death among African-Americans?

Conjoined Twin Girls Born Despite Doctor's Advice To Abort

Here is a pretty amazing example of a woman making the right choice for herself and her now newly born daughters. Amanda Schulten ignored her doctor's advice to abort her conjoined twins and has given birth to Faith and Hope. From Life Site News:

Against all the odds, Amanda Schulten, the Chicago area mother who defied doctors’ advice to abort her conjoined twins, has given birth.

Faith Rosemarie and Hope Lillian were born by C-section on Tuesday. However, news of their birth did not break until Friday afternoon, the day after LifeSiteNews first reported on the story, when Amanda posted the news on her blog.

“September 6th was a day miracles happened,” she said. “I gave birth to the 2 most beautiful conjoined twins.”

“God is good and he knows what he is doing,” she continued. “I’m so honored to call them my children.”

The birth of the two girls defied all medical predictions. When Amanda learned that she was pregnant with conjoined twins earlier this year, she was told that the babies did not have very long to live, and that she should have an abortion.

Instead Amanda, who is pro-life and entered the Catholic Church this Easter, chose to carry the children to term.

The new mother now reports that the twins, who share the same heart and liver, and have only two kidneys and two legs, were born “crying and kicking,” and weighing a total of 8 lbs. 10 oz.

“Mommy and Daddy are so proud of them,” she writes on her blog. “I cry tears of joy, that God made them so perfect.”

These newborn girls are made in the image of God and thankfully their parents valued their lives.

“Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

Contrast this with women who abort their perfectly healthy babies. Shameful.

If one takes the logic of pro-abortion advocates that the baby is dependent on the mother and therefore has no real identity or value, then the changing of the location of that baby or child from the womb to outside the womb is inconsequential. A newborn is still dependent on the mother, and now the father, as is the unborn baby. Even a child a few years old cannot take of himself or herself. Thus, infanticide and even murdering children up to a few years of age is justified by following the arguments for abortion. A pro-choice and feminist mindset is having a deadly impact on defenseless unborn and newly born girls in the world. Particularly in India and China. A new documentary called "It's A Girl" raises the question about these "missing" 200 million girls.

Sadly, America is on the same path as infanticide is not uncommon here when women have late-term abortions or they abandon their newborns in the trash or worse. This is the fruit of pro-abortion feminism, the unrestrained murder of unborn and newly born girls all in the name of their false god "choice". This video powerfully connects the common thread of what kind of evil emerges when someone's humanity is denied. I have made this point before in comparing the Holocaust and abortion.

This is what happens when Christians compromise and appease their faith with the world. They no longer stand against the evil that flows from the human heart. Evil ceases to be evil and is embraced as good, and good ceases to be good and is rejected as being evil.

Julie AlbinNebraska has seen a 10-percent decrease in abortions done in the first six months of 2011 as compared to the first six months of 2010.

Julie Schmit-Albin, who heads Nebraska Right to Life, says, “We at Nebraska Right to Life attribute that, at least in part -- I mean we don't have all the figures in yet from all of 2011 -- but we think it's a good sign that the unborn baby pain ban at 20 weeks, which was passed in 2010, is working.”

The law bans abortion after 20- weeks' gestation, which sent Omaha late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart packing to a new facility in Georgetown, Maryland. Other states have followed Nebraska's example in passing similar laws.

Ah, how I remember “Every child a wanted child,” our motto at Planned Parenthood. And I do welcome this legislation.

Half the pregnancies in America are “accidental.” Increasingly younger, unmarried women (or, as we might say, “girls”) find themselves mothers for life — long before they have an inkling of parenthood’s titanic, endless consequences.

When I began this work 50 years ago, television barely touched the subject. Today it is drenched with it. Daily shows on major networks hone in on this subject, howling with comments like: “Rodney, you ARE the father!” (How would you get along, born to a 13-year-old mother and no father?)

Global population numbers having just passed the 7 billion mark (twice what it was when I opened a vasectomy clinic in Texas), it is overwhelming to contemplate the world struggling with this flood and its inevitable threats (including starvation, drought, pollution — and what leading scientists predicted long ago would be the main danger to civilization: war).

Unless we act (this legislation, along with China’s “one child” policy, is a start), the world is doomed to strangle among coils of pitiless exponential growth.

Intolerant Liberals Attack Crisis Pregnancy Centers In San Fransisco

The only "choice" pro-abortion absolutists will tolerate is one that ends in the death of the unborn baby. To this end they are assaulting Crisis Pregnancy Centers that do not offer abortion. From the Christian Post:

A pro-life advocate in San Francisco charged local officials with “censorship” in their attempt to pass disclosure laws that would stifle local crisis pregnancy centers.

The Pregnancy Information Disclosure and Protection Ordinance would explicitly prohibit "limited-services" pregnancy centers in San Francisco from making false or misleading statements to the public about the services they offer.

Ryan Scott Bomberger, co-founder and chief creative officer of the Radiance Foundation, says California is the "abortion capital" of the United States and he finds it "crazy" that city lawmakers would go after crisis pregnancy centers with a new ordinance that prohibits them from targeting women seeking abortions.

"California is not hurting for ... abortions," Bomberger told The Christian Post. "They're leading the nation with over 214,000 abortions in the last reporting year."

Yet Bomberger says the legislation's supporters, City Attorney Dennis Herrera and San Francisco's District 10 Supervisor Malia Cohen, are trying to prohibit crisis pregnancy centers from using the word "abortion," in what are known as internet tags or key words, to reach out to women considering the procedure.

Pregnancy centers are the only impediment to abortion providers "making more money," said Bomberger. "They fear women knowing the whole picture."

The Radiance Foundation is an educational organization that reaches out to minorities to help them affirm life over abortion. As the organization's creative officer, Bomberger says he has worked with many crisis pregnancy centers.

He said of the advertising, "Right now you can use tags of any term you want – especially if you want to get your competitor's traffic. Of course you're going to use terms that reaches the same demographic. Every business does that."

"To use the term 'abortion' as a metatag is completely understandable because [crisis pregnancy centers] offer alternatives to abortion,” Bomberger explained. “So, of course, if someone is abortion-minded, you want to reach that demographic."

Bomberger insists that the centers do not lie about their stance on abortion. "They don't mislead anyone. You go to their sites, you read any of their literature [and] it's very clear where they stand on the issue of abortion," he described.

First Resort, a pregnancy center located in San Francisco, Oakland and Redwood City, advertises their services on the Web as a counseling and medical care facility.

CEO Shari Plunkett disputed allegations of misleading women in an August 2 statement.

"First Resort rejects in the strongest possible terms any representation that our advertising misleads women," she stated. "We treat women with dignity and respect their right to choose."

Herrera and Cohen claim in their news release that pregnancy centers do little more than "push an anti-abortion agenda on those seeking constitutionally-protected medical services."

However, in its list of services, the licensed facility offers pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and early prenatal care in addition to its pre- and post-abortion counseling...

Feminism Kills Women Through Abortion; Aborted Baby Girl Gets A Funeral

On this past Thursday, July 21, Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, preached at a memorial service for an aborted baby girl.

The child was intact and her body was retrieved after a late-term abortion. The memorial service, organized by Operation Save America, was held outside of City Hall in Orlando.

“We are here because this baby was killed in the darkness, and we come to honor her in the bright light of day,” Fr. Pavone declared in his remarks. “The abortion industry wants to hide the violence done to these children, but we must be committed to expose it. Therefore we need to hold many more of these services, with tens of thousands of people looking at these children and recommitting themselves to end abortion.”

During the service, the name “Esther” was given to the child.

Fr. Frank invited any pro-life activists who obtain the remains of aborted children to be in contact with him to arrange for a proper wake service and burial.

It’s not the first time that aborted babies are afforded funerals. In 2008, Detroit Bishop John Quinn offered a funeral for 18 aborted babies whose bodies were discovered in dumpsters at the Woman Care abortuary. Later that same year, Fr. Pavone offered a funeral for three aborted babies at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament that EWTN’s Mother Angelica built in Hanceville, Alabama. In 2010, Michigan Bishop Earl Boyea celebrated a funeral mass for 17 aborted children.

Legislation on the matter was passed in 2001 in the Czech Republic when President Vaclav Havel signed into law a bill regarding funeral arrangements which included a clause ensuring that the remains of aborted babies receive a proper burial. In 2010, in Michigan a bill was proposed to protect the remains of aborted babies from being simply discarded as biohazardous waste.

She does not look like a parasite to me as many a feminist would argue.

Texas De-Funds Planned Parenthood

I think Republicans should make Planned Parenthood a campaign issue and Texas Governor Rick Perry has just helped his soon to be Presidential bid by signing legislation that de-funds the organization. From Life News:

It’s official in Texas, as Governor Rick Perry, a pro-life Republican, on Monday ceremonially signed SB 7, a health care measure containing language that would revoke the taxpayer funding for the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

The governor was joined by Sen. Jane Nelson and Rep. John Zerwas at the signing ceremony.

“This will defund Planned Parenthood, stop taxpayer funding of elective abortions, and regulate adult stem cell research in Texas,” says Texas Alliance for Life.

The passage of the measure came after a legislative setback, when the Texas House of Representatives could not hold session because there was not a quorum. Legislators in the House were supposed to consider Senate Bill 7, a bill that, if passed, will defund Planned Parenthood of $34 million or more over the next two years.

Senate Bill 7, authored by Sen. Jane Nelson (R-Flower Mound) and Rep. John Zerwas (R-Simonton), has three significant pro-life provisions strongly supported by Texas Alliance for Life and leading pro-life organizations and individuals.

The first defunds Planned Parenthood of $34 million or more. Another provision, by Rep. Wayne Christian (R-Nacogdoches), prevents local tax funding for elective abortions by hospital districts, including Travis County’s Central Health. The third, by Rep. Rick Hardcastle (R-Vernon), allows the state to regulate autologous adult stem cell banks and encourage more live-saving treatments using adult, not embryonic, stem cells.

Jonathan Saenz, legislative director for Liberty Institute, which supported SB 7 at the Texas Capitol, too, also applauded the vote and says the bill “effectively ends taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood in Texas.

“The passing of this legislation is a defining moment in Texas history for the pro-life and taxpayer protection movement,” he said. “Texas leaders have sent a clear message: Planned Parenthood and similar abortion groups can no longer use taxpayer funds to support their agenda.”

Texas Right to Life is also strongly supportive of the Planned Parenthood de-funding effort and worked to close a loophole in SB 7 that would have required Texas taxpayers to fund the abortion of unborn children who suffer fetal abnormalities or who suffer from conditions “incompatible with life.”

“The most evil, filthy organization in America, Planned Parenthood, might actually have to close,” says Jim Graham, director of the group.

“State and federal dollars should go to health care providers who do not provide or refer for abortion,” he said. “While the amount of funds allocated to family planning has steadily increased over the years, 81,851 women in Texas still chose abortion in 2008, the last year for which data is available. Our tax dollars should not go to the abortion industry under the guise of family planning.”

About the loophole, Elizabeth Graham said, “Texas Right to Life opposed this broad and dangerous provision of SB 7, since this could have been precedent-setting if passed into law. SB 7 is one of Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst’s major health care savings bills, and we took the issue directly to him. As expected, he responded accordingly and bought us the much-needed time to close the loophole on taxpayer funding of the abortion of disabled, unborn Texans.”

The state budget allocated $166,030,952 to family planning. Estimates are that Planned Parenthood currently receives approximately $30 million a year in tax-payer funds in Texas, and its own annual report confirms $363 million received nationwide. More than 300 non-abortion agencies across the state qualify to provide family planning services and they do not do abortions or refer for them.

Very recently, Attorney General Greg Abbott released opinions ruling that the state’s Health and Human Services Commission could adopt rules for this program, and more importantly, that adopting rules does not conflict with federal Medicaid rules. By its own admission, Planned Parenthood (PP) serves almost half of the clients enrolled in the WHP, receiving tax dollars through Medicaid reimbursements for each client served.

The conference report came after Texas House members voted to urge the Senate to agree to de-fund Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood of Central Texas closed two of its centers earlier this year.

In other states, Indiana approved a law de-funding Planned Parenthood, and New Hampshire Planned Parenthood centers may close after the state revoked a $1.8 million grant. Montana Planned Parenthood is also grappling with funding cuts and one county in Tennessee de-funded Planned Parenthood.

North Carolina may see the closing of a Planned Parenthood center following de-funding and Planned Parenthood in Wisconsin is making cuts after the abortion business lost $1 million in taxpayer funding there. Ohio lawmakers also filed a new bill to shift funding from Planned Parenthood to health departments.

Late-Term Abortions Are Banned In Ohio

Ohio Gov. John Kasich signed into law Wednesday legislation banning abortion in most cases after the unborn child has reached the age of viability.

Kasich, a pro-life Republican, approved The Viable Infants Protection Act (HB 78), banning abortion generally after 20 weeks gestation. The law had passed both the Ohio House and Senate with bipartisan majorities.

“By signing this critical pro-life legislation, Governor Kasich demonstrated to all Ohioans that the health and welfare of birth mothers and their unborn children are of paramount importance to the state of Ohio,” stated Mike Gonidakis, Ohio Right to Life’s executive director.

Gonidakis said Department of Health statistics showed that a 35-week-old unborn child was aborted last year in the state.

“From now on, these babies and their mothers will be protected.”

The law has no exceptions for rape or incest, but allows late-term abortion after 20 weeks gestation if the mother’s physical life is in danger or if she faces “serious risk of the substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function.”

Under these circumstances, the abortionist also has to certify that he could not end the pregnancy in a way that would give the unborn child the best chance to survive without risking greater danger to the mother.

Ohio Right to Life praised the bill as the most important pro-life legislation passed by the legislature in years, saying that it contributes to a national pro-life strategy to overturn Roe v. Wade. That 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision, along with its companion case Doe v. Bolton, overturned U.S. state laws criminalizing abortion on the basis that abortion was part of an implied right to privacy protected in the US Constitution.

Violent Attack On Pro-Life Advocate In New Mexico (Video)

It should not surprise us that those who support the violent murder of the unborn can act violently when pro-life advocates stands against the evil done through abortion. This video shows a woman violently attacking pro-life advocates outside of an abortion clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A woman who claimed to be a supporter of abortion violently attacked peaceful pro-life protesters yesterday outside Southwestern Women's Options, a late-term abortion clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico, inflicting wounds that left one protester bloody. (Watch the video.)

The woman was angry and told the pro-lifers that she had once had an abortion. She then began to viciously punch and kick Bud Shaver, a former Operation Rescue intern, and a woman named Chris. She used keys as a weapon, inflicting a deep gash on Shaver's head that paramedics said required stitches.

Shaver, who works with Project Defend Life, began videotaping after the attack began, but images he captured show an angry and violent flurry of punches and kicks as the pro-lifers threw up their arms in a defensive posture. After the attack, the woman walked into the abortion clinic but left a few moments later, driving away before police could respond to Shaver's 911 call for help. Shaver told Operation Rescue that the woman was a passerby that stopped, but she did not appear to be a patient of the clinic.

Police and paramedics eventually responded but the perpetrator was not apprehended, even though her description and license plate number were reported to the officers as well as the 911 dispatcher.

"The lax way in which the police are handling acts of violence against pro-lifer who are peacefully exercising their Constitutional Rights and offering practical help to need women is shocking," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. "It sends the wrong message that violence on the part of abortion supporters is acceptable. We pray that this troubled woman is brought to justice and gets the help she needs with her anger and grief issues."

Previously, other attacks on pro-life activists included a man threatening them with a gun and another person who jumped the curb in an attempt to run over peaceful men and women.

Ironically, this attack occurred just days after Operation Rescue released a powerful 911 recording made from another abortion clinic in Albuquerque, UNM Center for Reproductive Health, where a woman could clearly be heard struggling for life.

Operation Rescue has also obtained a series of 911 emergency recordings made from Southwestern Women's Options where the violent attack took place that clearly indicate life-threatening abortion complications that required emergency hospitalization. OR plans to release the first of these recordings later this week...

Abortion In The UK Means Eugenics; Down Syndrome And Disabled Babies Are Aborted

New statistics released in the UK show us that eugenics is alive and well among the Left. From Life News:

Shocking new statistics have been produced in England after a pro-life organization won its bid to make some abortion numbers public that the government had failed to disclose concerning abortions on disabled babies.

The numbers reveal, thousands of babies victimized by abortion merely because they were mentally or physically disabled — including 500 abortions done on unborn children who have Down syndrome. In total, 2,290 abortions were done on disabled babies with 147 done after 24 weeks of pregnancy.

The London Daily Mail indicates the statistics for England and Wales came after the Department of Health followed a Freedom of Information Request from the Pro Life Alliance, which won a 5-year battle to make the figures public and the figures are the first in over 10 years. The ways in which disabled babies are targeted by abortion makes it clear why the government was reluctant to make them available.

Julia Millington, spokeswoman for the ProLife Alliance, told the newspaper, “This is a great victory for transparency and freedom of speech and we are delighted that full information about the justification for late abortions is now being made available in the same detail as it was in 2001.”

The abortion numbers showed 482 babies aborted who had Down syndrome, including 10 aborted after 24 weeks; 123 babies who died in abortions with the nervous disorder spina bifida; abortions were done on 181 babies who had a club foot or other musculoskeletal problems, including 8 killed after 24 weeks of pregnancy. Seven babies who had cleft palates were victims of abortion.

“The ProLife Alliance is opposed to all abortion at any stage in pregnancy, but terminating the lives of babies at gestational ages when they could survive is always particularly horrifying,” Millington told the newspaper. “We have always argued that if these abortions are permitted under law, there should be no attempt whatsoever to hide details of the numbers or justifications.”

The new figures also include the number of abortions done on girls under the age of 16, and they reveal 3,718 abortions in England on the young teens, including 2,676 on 15-year-olds, 906 on 14-year-olds, 134 on 13-year-olds and two abortions done on 12-year-old girls who are clearly victims of statutory rape.

Ann Furedi, chief executive of the British Pregnancy Advisory Service, an abortion business, condemned the release of the figures and claimed the battle waged by the pro-life movement to get them published “reveals little more than their own vindictiveness.”

“Abortion for foetal anomaly is legal. Behind every one of these figures are doctors and nurses who deserve our admiration and support,” she told the Daily Mail.

The government filed a lawsuit with the High Court to keep secret the details concerning late abortions because of fears that individual women having abortions late in pregnancy will somehow be revealed. The Department of Health challenged a decision the Information Tribunal handed down in October 2009 saying freedom of information laws require all of the abortion statistics to be released — and none of them contain any information to identify any people specifically...

I disagree with the way Life News titled this as "shocking", for this is just a natural and logical outcome to Liberalism. We should expect this kind of thing to happen.

The narrative that the pro-abortion crowd would like you to adopt is that only racists would dare to be concerned about the number of minority babies that are aborted in America. Rich Liberals Should Fund Planned Parenthood In New Jersey

All those Liberal millionaires and billionaires that think they are under taxed should fund Planned Parenthood if they are so concerned about it. Governor Chris Christie has given them another chance to put their money where their mouths are with his veto of a bill that would fund Planned Parenthood. From Life Site News:

New Jersey’s pro-life governor Chris Christie has once again vetoed an attempt by the state legislature to restore $7.5 million dollars in state family planning funds that could be used by abortion provider Planned Parenthood.

Christie on Thursday vetoed more than $1.3 billion in extra spending demanded by the Democrat-controlled legislature for FY 2012, including the state family planning expenditures the governor vetoed the year before.
Democrats lacked the two-thirds majorities they need in both chambers of the legislature for an override, so Christie’s veto will stand.

Christie told reporters at a news conference that he was not going to let lawmakers “revert to the same fantasy, unrealistic budgeting that has plagued Trenton for years and is the reason New Jersey got into fiscal trouble in the first place.”

“I wish I could be Santa Claus sometimes too, but I was sent to Trenton to be the adult supervision,” Christie added.

Christie nixed $7.5 million in family planning funds to the budget, a sum that was championed by Democrat Sen. Loretta Weinberg. The veto represented at least the fourth time the legislature was defeated in trying to restore such funding, including an attempt to restore funding through a Medicaid expansion.

The governor had previously explained that he saw no reason for New Jerseyans to shell out tax dollars for family planning clinics at a time of fiscal crisis for the state, when the clinics were still funded by the federal government.

Weinberg had called in to a radio show in May accusing the governor of compromising women’s access to health care by withdrawing funds that, among other things, would affect the operation of Planned Parenthood.

“I don’t think it’s been in the best interest of the state for Senator Weinberg to be around mischaracterizing women’s access to health care,” responded Christie. “Women still have extensive access to health care all across the state of New Jersey through other clinics that are still open, and federally qualified health clinics which the state funds in the tens of millions of dollars every year.”

Christie has been frank about his pro-life beliefs, and headlined this year’s March for Life in Trenton, where he told the crowd that the pro-life movement has an ally in the governor’s office.

Obama's Kapo Judge Stops Indiana From De-Funding Planned Parenthood

I guess the first African-America President and the first African-American federal judge in Indiana think more minority babies need to be aborted by Planned Parenthood. The Obama Administration has joined the lawsuit seeking to gets funds reinstated to Planned Parenthood and now a judge he appointed has blocked the implementation of the law. From Life News:

A federal judge blocked an Indiana law on Friday that protects taxpayers from having to fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business with public funds via family planning programs through Medicaid.

U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt in Indianapolis granted Planned Parenthood’s request for a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit filed after Republican Governor Mitch Daniels signed the law in May. “While it remains to be seen who will ultimately prevail on the merits, the court is persuaded” that Planned Parenthood demonstrated a “reasonable likelihood of success” in challenging the law, Pratt wrote in her decision.

“The public interest also tilts in favor of granting an injunction,” Pratt said, citing the threats the Obama administration made to yank billions in federal funding from Indiana because of its decision to not fund the abortion business.

“Denying the injunction could pit the federal government against the state of Indiana in a high-stakes political impasse,” Pratt said. “If dogma trumps pragmatism and neither side budges, Indiana’s most vulnerable citizens could end up paying the price as the collateral damage of a partisan battle.”

Judge Pratt also blocked a portion of the law requiring abortion practitioners to tell women considering an abortion that their unborn child will feel pain as early as 20 weeks into pregnancy. However, she rejected Planned Parenthood’s request that a part of the law be blocked that women be told before an abortion that “human physical life begins when a human ovum is fertilized by a human sperm.”

Bryan Crobin, a spokesman for Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller, said the state will liekly appeal the decision.

Indiana Right to Life President and CEO Mike Fichter issued a statement to LifeNews condemning the decision by Judge Pratt blocking key provisions of Indiana law that deny public funding for abortion businesses and require that women be informed about an unborn child’s ability to feel pain.

“We are deeply disappointed that today’s ruling brushes aside the will of the Indiana legislature. New Hampshire Passes Parental Notification Law In Spite Of Veto

Great news coming out of New Hampshire as state legislatures have passed a parental notification law in spite of the Governor's veto. From Life News:

The New Hampshire state legislature on Wednesday voted to override Gov. John Lynch’s veto of a pro-life bill requiring abortion businesses to inform parents 48 hours before an abortion on a teenager that she is considering one. The state will now become the 37th to have such a law, which has been proven to help parents and teenagers and stop abortions.

The House overrode the veto by a 266-102 vote; the Senate vote was 17-7 and House speaker William O’Brien said in a statement, “Granite Staters believe in more parental involvement, not less.”

After the veto, the local pro-life group New Hampshire Citizens for Life condemned Lynch.

“Secret abortions on minors is child abuse, and Governor Lynch is imposing that abuse on New Hampshire’s minor girls,” said Citizens for Life President Gail DeMasi. “Governor Lynch has shoved a wedge back in between our daughters and their parents by vetoing the Parental Notification Bill. The bill passed by huge majorities in both chambers of the State Legislature.”

“The Governor says he wants to have an exception for girls who are in abusive situations at home. That simply would send a girl back into continuing abuse after a hasty, quick-fix abortion, DeMasi said. “He wants an exception for rape circumstances. That would cover up the rape from the parents’ knowledge. It also makes the abortionist, and the State, an accomplice after the fact to the rape. What kind of back alley attitude is this? Mr. Lynch would toss our daughters into a heap of emotional distress and drive a wedge between children and their families.”

“Some of the girls taken to abortion facilities are brought in by the adult men who got them pregnant. These men coerce the minors to get secret abortions to cover up statutory rape. This governor is their facilitator,” she added.

Lynch claimed the bill was unclear and too narrow, even though it was written to conform to federal court decisions on what should and should not be included in such a statute. The law would have required abortion practitioners to notify parents of a minor girl considering an abortion and they could have been subjected to a misdemeanor charge if they failed to comply with the law, which requires the notice to be given within 48 hours...

This is common sense legislation that protects young girls from sexual predators. Maybe Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers will no longer be able to hide the rape of underage girls who seek to get abortion.

Pro-Life Billboard Campaign Compares Abortion To Slavery

Another hard hitting and desperately needed pro-life billboard campaign is kicking off. This one compares abortion to slavery, and rightly so. From Life News:

A black pro-life activist responsible for creating earlier billboard campaigns that drew national attention is back with a new creative and a new message for how the abortion industry targets black Americans: “Abortion Enslaves Us.”

That’s the message behind a series of billboards that will go up in the Atlanta, Georgia area sponsored by the Radiance Foundation and celebrating Juneteenth (June 19th) and the liberation of black Americans from the shackles of slavery. Ryan Bomberger, the head of the foundation says the billboards are meant to “expose the epidemic of abortion” and 50 of them will be place in metro and downtown Atlanta.

The billboards declare: “The 13th Amendment Freed Us. Abortion Enslaves Us. TooManyAborted.com.”

“The campaign invokes the Reconstruction Amendments and the abortion industry’s dependence upon certain persons being classified as property,” Bomberger explains. “The landmark Roe v. Wade decision relied upon the perversion of the 14th Amendment, which finally ascribed full humanity to African-Americans, to justify stripping humanity from another group of individuals — the unborn.”

“In NYC, where Planned Parenthood is headquartered, this dehumanization results in the abortion of 60% of all black pregnancies. Here in Georgia, nearly 60% of all abortions are on African-Americans,” Bomberger continued.

Bomberger, an African-American adoptee and an adoptive father who promotes self-control, responsibility, and individual purpose, wants “to expose Planned Parenthood’s pro-abortion propaganda”

“Roe v. Wade has made a mockery of Civil Rights history by offering destruction and bondage instead of possibility and freedom. There is no freedom in the mass exodus of fathers in the black community. There is no freedom in the poverty perpetuated by abortion. There is no freedom in using death as a solution to Life,” Bomberger says...

The evil of abortion can not only be compared to slavery but also to the Holocaust.

Feminist Targets Pro-Life Pregnancy Center But Provides No Video; UPDATE: Author Responds

When I found this online, I decided to scam the pregnancy cult for all they were worth. I went in, faking that my pregnancy was accidental. I took a simple out-of-the-box pregnancy test and was immediately taken upstairs for an ultrasound. For the uninitiated – this is the part where they try to show you the baby’s eyes, toes, lungs, heart, etc in order to convince you to keep the baby. I, of course, had no plans to abort, especially as I was at 24 weeks. My ex-husband sat there with me, uncomfortably shifting in his seat as the Christian music blared in the background. That is when and where I found out I was having a boy.

After a suitable time of oo-ing and aw-ing over the ultrasound pictures, I had a “counseling session.” They gauged my belief in God, which was confusing to them to no end. Then, I was ask – do you feel safe in your home environment. I suddenly had that moment, where I knew this was my way out. I answered honestly – “No, it’s not safe. My husband is a fucking psychopath, and I need out.” This apparently was not the usual answer. I would love to tell you that the church group whisk me away to a safe place and got me and my unborn child away from that monster, but alas, no. I was given a lecture of wifely responsibilities and duties. I was told that I obviously was at fault for not letting him lead, and I was somehow aggressively subjugating his masculinity. I felt defeated, but this still seemed like a small escape to my otherwise closed-in and closely monitored existence.

I was given a schedule. I would come back every week for a three-hour session. I would watch videos on childbirth and pregnancy for an hour and a half, then I would be cornered in a small room with two lovely Christian ladies who would then tell me what a horrible person I was for being in such a marriage where I refused to accept my husband’s ruling with an iron fist. “Spare the rod and spoil the child is meant for the wife as well in some more difficult cases,” they said. I was routinely told that if I did not accept Jesus Christ as my savior I would go to hell no matter how I had lived my life or what good deeds I did. For each session, I would get points. The points led to baby items. I was determined to get a pram (a stroller that is more for infants and kind of old fashioned).

I'll grant the veracity of this account just because minimizing the abuse of women is something I do not take lightly, especially as I have a daughter who turns 5 soon. I would also think that the reaction at this particular clinic is a bad exception and not the rule. The one I am involved with has a great network and offers women in these kinds of situations help. Now as to the part about sharing their faith, of course this woman is going to react negatively to being told she is a sinner and needs to repent. Some video sure would be helpful here from the feminists on this. In the end I do not think it will be as compelling as the ones exposing Planned Parenthood covering up the rape and prostitution of underage girls, and these same feminists defend Planned Parenthood. Hypocrisy anyone?

The latest example of this is the attempt to force the state of Indiana to fund Planned Parenthood, an organization known for tolerating infanticide, rape and child prostitution. State officials in Indiana say they will defy the decision by the Obama administration asking it to not proceed with implementing a new pro-life state law that would revoke taxpayer funding for the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

Yesterday, the top Medicaid official in the Obama administration denied Indiana’s use of its new state law that would deny millions in taxpayer dollars to the Indiana affiliate of the nation’s largest abortion business.

Governor Mitch Daniels signed the law, which would cut off anywhere from $2 million to $3 million the Planned Parenthood abortion business receives in federal funds via the Indiana government through Medicaid. Daniels said that “any organization affected by this provision can resume receiving taxpayer dollars immediately by ceasing or separating its operations that perform abortions.”

However, the Obama administration told the state it can’t implement the new law, with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Donald Berwick denying a request to deny funds saying the federal Medicaid law stipulates that states can’t exclude providers based on the services they provide...

Most Americans Now Want Abortion To Be Illegal

Looks like the feminists and other pro-abortion advocates are unable to keep the American people in the Dark Ages about prenatal development. The advances in prenatal medicine and the ability to see the development of the unborn baby are powerful demonstrating that there is indeed a life there, and a human life at that. A new poll suggests that the days of unrestrained abortion for any reason are numbered. From Life News:

Gallup released its annual abortion poll today showing Americans want all or most abortions made illegal and saying they believe abortion to be morally wrong, but the poll found Americans split on what they call their abortion position.

The Gallup polling firm conducted a national survey from May 5-8 with a random sample of 1,018 adults, aged 18 and older from across the nation. The poll has a 4 percentage point margin of error.

By a 24 percent margin, 61-37 percent, Americans take the pro-life view that abortions should either be legal under no circumstances or legal only under a few circumstances. Although Gallup doesn’t specify those “few” circumstances, polling data has consistently shown that, when asked about cases such as rape, incest, or the life of the mother, a majority of Americans want all or almost all abortions made illegal — leaving only life of the mother or rape and incest as the exceptions.

“Americans are rather conservative in their stance on abortion, with 61% now preferring that abortion be legal in only a few circumstances or no circumstances. By contrast, 37% want abortion legal in all or most circumstances,” Gallup analyst Lydia Saad writes. “Over the past two decades, Americans have consistently leaned toward believing abortion should be legal in only a few or no circumstances, although less so in the mid-1990s than since about 1997, when combined support for these has averaged close to 60%.”

In fact, Gallup polling shows that, since 1994, a majority of Americans have held a pro-life view wanting all or almost all abortions made illegal — and that pro-life view has strengthened with an average of 60 percent of Americans saying that over the years.

Breaking down those numbers further, Gallup finds that pro-life view as seen across the board — with 60 percent of women and 61 percent of men saying they want all or almost all abortions illegal. Women actually take a stronger pro-life view than men with 24 percent of American women wanting all abortions made illegal and 36 percent wanting almost all illegal, compared with 19 percent of men who want to ban all abortions and 42 percent of men who want to prohibit almost all.

By age, Americans also oppose abortions — with 59 percent of people aged 18-34, 58 percent of those 35-54 and 64 percent of those over the age of 55 saying all or almost all abortions should become illegal. Younger Americans are most supportive of making all abortions illegal, with 24 percent of 18-34 year-olds saying so and 35 percent saying they want abortions legal only in a few circumstances.

Republicans are considerably more pro-life on abortion than independents or Democrats, with 79 percent of them saying they want all or almost all abortions prohibited, whereas 60 percent of independents take that position and 44 percent of Democrats agreeing...

Mother In New York Throws Baby In The Trash

It has been a while since I have seen one of these horrific and truly evil actions, but sadly we must be reminded that infanticide is a reality in America and not just at abortion clinics. Sometimes a mother kills her newborn baby after birth. From the NY Daily News:

The newborn girl dumped in a trash can at a Queens hospital last week died Wednesday and her mother could face murder charges, prosecutors said.

The child had been on life support since May 10, when Queens prosecutors say Dawa Lama abandoned the full-term infant in an emergency room trash can at Elmhurst Hospital.

Lama, who didn't tell anyone she was pregnant, was found sleeping inside her 65th St. home in Woodside just two hours after she dumped the baby.

"I was in the hospital today when the baby died," said Lama's boyfriend, Bishnu Gurung, who was the father of the baby girl.

"Everybody was just crying," said Gurung, 28, who didn't know Lama was pregnant. "Now we're in the temple, praying and grieving."

Lama, 23, has been charged with assault.

A grand jury will consider upgrading the charge to murder, said Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.

Brown said Lama would not have been charged with a crime if she had turned the child over to hospital workers.

Under New York State law, mothers can leave a baby within five days of its birth at any city hospital or fire house with no questions asked.

Lama told cops she feared her mother would discover her pregnancy.

Leftist Blog Calls Pro-Lifers "Coerced-Birthers" But Wants Women Ignorant About Abortion

The pro-abortion Left have turned the natural and wonderful process of a woman bringing forth new life into some bizarre and artificial process. In order to further the mindset that a woman being pregnant, the pro-abortion Left call someone who is pro-life a "forced birther" or some variation of it. The Daily Kos has a post calling pro-lifers "coerced-birthers":

In a year of unprecedented attacks on women's freedom to make choices about pregnancy and contraception, there was a small bit of good news last week. Three more state legislatures adjourned. Which brings the total that can do no more damage this year to 19.
But the anti-choice victories already achieved in 2011 are surely drawing high-fives among the faithful. In April alone, according to the latest tally by the Guttmacher Institute, nine states passed 33 new laws designed in some fashion to keep women from obtaining abortions. That's on top of the 15 new laws passed in seven states during March. Elizabeth Nash, who tracks legislation on reproductive rights for Guttmacher, told me the wave of proposed laws is greater than "any I have seen in my 12 years here."

You can see a list of what has passed so far here. And an analysis of the bills and amendments affecting reproductive rights that have been introduced in 2011 here. While many legislators have gone home, we haven't yet seen the end of the year's efforts to turn Roe v. Wade into a dead letter.

Not that the coerced-birth forces will be able to claim victory for all the hundreds of pieces of legislation their allies have introduced in each of the 50 states. Most of those bills will be defeated. For instance, it seems highly unlikely that Louisiana will pass the full frontal attack on Roe introduced last month by Rep. John LaBruzzo. His proposal would ban all abortions. No exceptions for rape, incest or even the life of the woman, much less her health. While that is the most draconian bill, proposals for abortion bans to replace Roe have been introduced in 20 states and have passed one chamber of the legislature in five of them...

Not only does the post attack pro-lifers, the advocate for "choice" actually wants to keep women ignorant about what they are doing by opposing common sense restrictions on abortion.

• Kansas and North Dakota also have mandated state-directed "counseling," and seven other states have introduced such legislation.

• Texas just passed a law that not only requires women to obtain an ultrasound before obtaining an abortion, as do 20 other states, but also to hear a detailed description of the development of the fetus. Now on the books in Arizona is a law that requires a woman to undergo an ultrasound at least one hour before obtaining an abortion. Technicians must offer the woman the chance to hear a description of the fetus and listen to its heartbeat.

Let me preface this post by saying that I have taken part in a screening of this movie and given feedback afterwards. I have the honor of knowing one of the producers of the upcoming movie "Doonby" (I am amazed at whose paths God as crossed with mine lately). In this movie Norma McCorvey makes her acting debut. That name should ring a bell, in case it does not, she was Roe in the now infamous Roe v. Wade case that legalized abortion. McCorvey has since become pro-life. More from The Hollywood Reporter:

A subplot in an upcoming film,a psychological thriller called Doonby, involves an unmarried woman during the 1960s who seeks a doctor to end her inconvenient pregnancy -- and an elderly woman who tries to talk her out of it.

The role of the older woman is pivotal, and director Peter Mackenzie wanted to cast someone with the gravitas to deliver anti-abortion dialogue without being preachy. So last year, over lunch at a restaurant in tiny Smithville, Texas, he persuaded one of the most controversial living Americans to play the role, despite the fact she had never acted before. Her name: Norma McCorvey -- aka Jane Roe, the plaintiff in Roe v. Wade.

"I thought she encapsulated American thinking on the issue," says Mackenzie, a British filmmaker who also wrote Doonby. The niche title tackles abortion head-on, taking place in modern times but with significant flashbacks to an era when illegal abortions were conducted in back alleys. The filmmakers know they've created something controversial but maintain it is apolitical -- a position that will be a tough sell beyond pro-life circles.

But plenty of small movies have turned a profit by wooing narrow demographics. The Kids Are All Right, with its appeal to gays and lesbians, was made for $4 million and earned $21 million at the domestic box office; Facing the Giants targeted Christians and earned $10 million on a $100,000 budget; and Sideways appealed first to wine aficionados and took in $72 million on a $16 million budget. Political films can be less forgiving, though. An American Carol was a money-loser, for example, and the jury is still out on Atlas Shrugged: Part 1, both of which chased right-wingers.

Doonby -- planned for September release, though no distributor is attached -- stars John Schneider as a drifter and Robert Davi and Joe Estevez (Charlie Sheen's uncle) as the town's sheriff and doctor, respectively. It was made for $2 million and financed by a wealthy person making his first film investment who wishes to remain anonymous.

In 1969, when McCorvey was 21, she used the pseudonym Jane Roe and hired attorneys Linda Coffee and Sarah Weddington to force Texas to allow her to abort her third child. Roe v. Wade was decided by the Supreme Court in 1973 -- long after McCorvey gave birth and the baby girl was adopted -- making it illegal for states to outlaw abortion.

McCorvey converted to Catholicism and became pro-life two decades ago and described her transformation in her 1998 book Won by Love. "I abused alcohol, sex, everything. Now that I have God, I'm nicer," she tells The Hollywood Reporter. "I understand the role that I've played in history. Of course I have regrets, but I'm so glad that I don't have the regret of having had an abortion on my conscience."

McCorvey has appeared as herself in documentaries about Roe v. Wade, but it was divine intervention, she says, that led her to make her acting debut in Doonby. Before researching her whereabouts, the director chose to shoot his film in Smithville -- population 3,902 -- where McCorvey lives. "I guess you could say the project chose me," she says. "God told me to move there two years before but didn't really tell me why. So I obeyed. I had no family there, no friends. I just obeyed."

Says Mackenzie: "I tried to find Norma, and that's where it got a little spooky. Out of the blue, during some random conversation, I discovered that Norma actually lived there."

The director says McCorvey was suspicious of his motives, but he won her over with the script. "Our movie has people talking not about whether abortion should be legal or illegal," Mackenzie says, "but about something that we should all be able to agree on: Every abortion performed means that something is lost."

Despite their intentions, Mackenzie and company have created a film that could appeal to Christian conservatives more than other demographics, which makes low-budget marketing a tricky endeavor. Phase 1 is acknowledging McCorvey's role in the film. Talk radio and Fox News Channel are in the mix, but the filmmakers have no intention of excluding the other side. After all, there's no shortage of pro-lifers with otherwise impeccable liberal credentials. Martin Sheen and Warren Beatty, for example.

The filmmakers have been showing the unfinished movie to politicians and commentators, and Mackenzie has even made postproduction tweaks based on feedback, in the same way Mel Gibson did with 2004's The Passion of the Christ.

And because Doonby should also appeal to blues enthusiasts and people who have struggled with alcoholism, both themes in the movie, screenings are being arranged for professional musicians and Al-Anon groups. "If the film raises an issue that touches a constituency, we'd like them to be aware of it," a marketing executive attached to the movie says.

Mackenzie betrays no agenda on the part of his backer: "He liked its message and called it a cross between The Sixth Sense and It's a Wonderful Life. I guess he figured it would be a good investment, too."

I look forward to the release of this movie at the theaters and to see the final edit.

Pro-Abortion Activists Vandalize Pro-Life Display

The intolerance of the pro-abortion crowd is getting bolder these days. This time they vandalized a pro-life display at Clarion University. From Life News:

Last week, during the Holy Week leading up to Easter, a group of pro-abortion activists vandalized and desecrated a Christian pro-life display students at Clarion University put up at their Pennsylvania campus.

The display, called the Cemetery of the Innocents, features crosses erected to memorialize the 53 million unborn children who have been killed in abortions since Roe v. Wade allowed virtually unlimited abortions in 1973.

In their attack, pro-abortion students vandalized the Clarion University Students for Life display by turning the crosses upside-down to form satanic symbols, and they dripped fake blood over many of the crosses the took up from the ground and placed in a pile. The abortion advocate then wrote the word “Pro-Choice” in the “blood” on the sidewalk in front of the sign the pro-life students put in front of their display to explain its meaning.

Kristan Hawkins, the director of Students for Life of America, described the desecration to LifeNews.com.

“In a breathtaking public display of anti-Christian and anti-Life motivations, 350 crosses were pulled up and re-inserted in inverted fashion, a well-known anti-Christian symbol,” she explained. “Additionally, red paint was splattered on crosses and signs. Even eerier was the mock bloody footprints of an infant painted in front of the display.”

“Vandalism of pro-life displays on campus is not uncommon, but this incident takes pro-choice vandalism on campus to a whole new level,” Hawkins continued. “It is revolting to think that anyone would desecrate a display in this way, most especially with red paint to imitate blood. Clarion University must take a strong stand against this disgusting, intolerant, and hate-filled act.”

Parental Notification Bill Passes In The Florida Senate

A Florida state Senate committee passed a bill today that would strengthen the parental notification law voters approved years ago to ensure abortion advocates are not abusing it.

The measure, similar to legislation (HB 1247) a House committee approved in March, relates additional requirements for teenagers when they want to use the Supreme Court-mandated judicial bypass provision meant for rare occasions in which teenagers are concerned about physical abuse at home by revealing their pregnancy to their parents. Abortion businesses have abused the law by judge shopping and finding those who will approve the bypass for any occasion in which a teen merely doesn’t want to inform her parents of her potential abortion.

The bill extends the time a court has to rule on whether a teenager should be allowed to be exempt from the law to investigate the situation more extensively. The bill also eliminates part of the law that indicates the notification requirement is automatically waived if the court does not issue a ruling. And the bill requires teens who do get their parents’ permission to have the permission slip notarized to ensure it is legal.

Bill sponsor Alan Hays told the panel today the bill is needed because it is easier for teens to get an abortion than minor medication at school.

“The state will not allow a school nurse or a school teacher to give that student a Tylenol or an Advil with out parental permission yet they’re willing to let them terminate a pregnancy without parental permission. I just find that completely unacceptable,” said Hays.

The Senate Judiciary committee voted for SB 1770 and Hays said Florida needs to stop “judge-shopping” that happens when abortion centers find activist attorneys looking for judges to approve judicial bypasses instead of following state law and allowing parents to know when their minor daughters are considering a potentially life-threatening abortion.

“I think doctor shopping in the pill mill world is wrong,” Hays said. “I think judge-shopping is wrong.”

The bill was changed as it originally said “a minor may petition any circuit court in a judicial circuit within the jurisdiction of the District Court of Appeal,” but the new version, according to the Florida Independent, restricts access to the “circuit court in which the minor resides for a waiver of the notice.”

It is a sad state in American history when 41 Senators want to stand with an organization started by an advocate of eugenics, Margaret Sanger. Arizona Bans Abortions That Target Minorities And Females

I will be on the look out for Liberals to condemn a newly signed bill in Arizona that bans abortions based on the sex or race of the unborn baby. In other words, abortions justified on the basis of eugenics. Can a woman really be a feminist if she is against restricting abortions that target unborn baby girls solely because of their gender? From Life News:

Governor Jan Brewer lengthened her pro-life record today by signing a bill that would ban abortions that are sex-selection or race-based in nature by targeting girls or ethnic minorities.

The legislation would ban sex-selection abortions and require women seeking abortions to sign a statement saying they are not obtaining the abortion because of the gender of the unborn baby. The bill also prohibits abortions based on the race of the unborn child. The father of the unborn child or the parents of a minor girl would be able to file a lawsuit for civil damages against abortion practitioners that do race-based or sex-selection abortions.

The bill makes it a felony to provide financing for such an abortion and supporters of the measure say it is important to root out discrimination that comes in the form of destroying unborn children for gender or racial reasons.

Abortion advocates opposed the bill and claimed it was a way to works towards banning all abortions and they claim there is no evidence in Arizona that such abortions are performed.

Although the practice of sex-selection is frequently seen in Asian nations like China, India and Vietnam, it has crossed the Pacific Ocean as Asian immigrants have come to the United States and brought with them their cultural preference for sons.

A majority of the Arizona House of Representatives agreed to the bill and voted for House Bill 2443 on a 41-18 vote. Then, the state Senate added a provision to make it a felony to perform or provide financing for an abortion sought because of the race of the baby, the sex, or also the race of the parent. The House bill did not include the criminal penalties and only allowed a civil lawsuit and civil fines against abortion practitioners who did such abortions.

The Senate passed the bill 21-5 and the House voted to the changes the state Senate made.

Brewer has signed every pro-life measure on abortion she has received during her time as governor.

Sen. Don Shooter, a Republican, supported the measure and cited figures from the Frederick Douglass Foundation saying 30 percent of abortions are done on black women and children even though census figures show blacks make up a much lower percentage of the population.

Rep. Steve Montenegro, the sponsor of the bill, said, “No one should be subjected to abortion because they’re the wrong sex or race.” Montenegro pointed to a 2010 Economist magazine article on “gender-cide” that documented a bias against black babies and said many abortions on black babies are done because of the race of the child.

Sen. Linda Lopez, a Tucson Democrat, opposed the bill and called banning sex-selection and race-based abortions “offensive.”

Senate President Russell Pearce responded: “We have an obligation to protect the most innocent among us, the unborn. Whatever we can do to limit the number of deaths of these unborn children, I’m always a ‘yes’ vote.”

Anyone who opposes restricting abortions based on the the sex or race of the unborn baby is arguing in favor eugenics.

Vandals burglarized and virtually destroyed a pregnancy center in the South Bronx, just days after Mayor Michael Bloomberg signed a city council bill into law that targets such centers with heavy restrictions.

Chris Slattery, founder and president of Expectant Mother Care-EMC FrontLine Pregnancy Centers emailed LifeNews.com about the incident.

“Our main office in the South Bronx was burglarized again. This is the second time this has happened in the past 12 months,” he said. “They broke into our facility through the second story window, stole over $5,000 worth of equipment, and virtually destroyed the office.”

Pictures Slattery sent show property and possessions at the center strewn about the office and the vandals ripped up wooden planks from the floor and tossed them around the center.

“The rampage of these heartless criminals shattered windows, stole all of our audio visual equipment, destroyed displays and supplies, tore up the ceiling, doors, and floor,” he said. “They even broke into our supply closet and stole our Pampers.”

“The staff in our Bronx office is heartbroken, but they have all pulled together to put together the pieces and try to reopen the office,” Slattery continued. “Each day we are closed puts innocent babies in the wombs of their mothers at risk. We desperately need your help.”

Slattery said the small but vibrant pro-life community in New York City has responded to the call for prayers and financial support while pregnancy centers have battled the city to help women as best they can without having to turn people away by posting signs discouraging them from seeking help.

“The last five months, we have been fighting for our very lives here in New York City. The bill signed by Mayor Bloomberg last week threatens to put our 12 pregnancy care centers out of business for good,” Slattery said. “New York is the abortion capital of America, and they are threatening to shut down our centers which have helped save over 40,000 babies during the past 26 years.”

South Dakota's Governor Signs New Abortion Law Requiring A 72 Hour Wait Period

You would think that a new law that does not outlaw abortion but merely requires a woman wait three days before following through would be acceptable to feminists and Liberals. Well, you would be wrong about that since they are not merely pro-choice but pro-abortion, in that they oppose any and all common sense measures that seek to get women to actually think a little more before killing their unborn baby. First the good news from Life News:

South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard signed into law a bill today for the longest abortion waiting period in the country — 72 hours. The measure also helps women find abortion alternatives.

The law in question, which takes effect July 1, would require women considering an abortion to visit a crisis pregnancy center before going to an abortion business to get counseling on abortion’s alternatives as well as the risks associated with having one. The idea behind the bill — which goes further than legislation in other states — is to get women tangible pregnancy help and support that they won’t normally find at an abortion center. The counseling would not require any out of pocket expense on behalf of the women considering an abortion.

“I think everyone agrees with the goal of reducing abortion by encouraging consideration of other alternatives,” the Republican governor said in the statement. “I hope that women who are considering an abortion will use this three-day period to make good choices.”

Daugaard said weeks ago he is pro-life and would likely sign the bill into law.

“I am pro-life,” Daugaard told the Rapid City Journal earlier this month. “I’ve read the bill and I’m inclined to sign it, but I want to examine it along with the counsel of others to make sure there’s no unintended consequences that haven’t been identified during the debate.”

Abortion advocates have already said they will file a lawsuit challenging the measure in court, but the governor said in his statement that he has talked with state attorneys who are willing to defend the law and he pointed to a private donor who is willing to finance the state’s costs for defending the law.

About half of the states across the country have a waiting period but typically of 24 hours in length. No other state requires women to visit a pregnancy center beforehand but many give women information about such centers — which provide tangible help for pregnant women...

Second the typical reaction from a pro-abortion feminist blog:

South Dakota continues to distinguish itself as the leader in passing the most restrictive abortions bans in the nation. Mind you, South Dakota only has ONE clinic that provides abortion at all. ONE. Probably not a coincidence considering how difficult lawmakers in the State want to make it for women to get the procedure...Not surprising to see the Governor spouting paternalistic bullshit about women using the three days to “make good choices.”

Fuck you Governor Daugaard for thinking you have any business being involved in our choices. Obviously if it was up to you, we wouldn’t have a choice at all.

And third, a Liberal response that considers the murder of the unborn to be a matter of justice:

Net result? Poor women are denied a choice, once again. Rich girls fly out of state. Good job, Republicans! Keep the poor poor. Barefoot and pregnant, that’s the way it should be.

It is sad how the Left have racially cleansed Margaret Sanger's racist arguments for abortion and replaced them with "justice speak" by expressing their concern about the poor, and the end result is the same. The targeting of minority women to abort their babies which in fact leads to more minority babies being killed by abortion. If Margaret Sanger were alive today she would think her eugenic vision had become a reality. Once again a Liberal notion of "justice" leads to the mass oppression of a class of humanity.

Liberalism And The Genocide Of Minority Groups

I have been thinking about the nature of Totalitarian regimes lately. Specifically the difference between a Liberal one and a Conservative one. The Nazis stand out as the typical Right Wing form of Totalitarianism and the Communists stand out as the typical Left Wing form. In America there are constant accusations that the Republicans are acting like Nazis while the Democrats are the sole arbiters of justice, peace and harmony. A way to immediately see if one has Totalitarian aspirations, we only need to look at how the value of life is grounded. If one seeks to ground the value of human life in an objective way that can check the State's power over our lives, then one likely support the idea that our value is inherent in the fact that we are created in the image of God. If one seeks to ground the value of human life in more utilitarian ways, then the State decides whose life is worthy of life. This is why President Obama's intentional leaving out of a critical part of the Declaration of Independence should trouble us. Obama clearly wants the State to be the sole arbiter of deciding the value of life.

It is here that we can see a fundamental difference between the Totalitarian ambitions of the Nazis in Germany and of Liberals in America today. Like Herman Cain said, we should consider Planned Parenthood to be a planned genocide. Such an organization is about using the rhetoric of justice to justify the genocide of others. Liberalism has surpassed the evil fruit produced by Nazism in this key aspect: instead of bringing about a genocide of a people by force like under Nazism, Liberalism has gotten people to freely justify their own genocide. Abortion on demand is a gateway to Totalitarianism and sadly, many minority groups have already been conquered by Liberal Totalitarians by justifying their own genocide through abortion. Defending the unborn is the only way to turn the tide on an agenda that seeks to define your value and mine in terms of the subjective whims of the State. To be pro-life, to defend the unborn, is to favor restraint on the State's power over our lives. To be pro-life is ground our value in the truth that we have been created in the image of God so that no bureaucrat can decide our lives do not have value. To be pro-life is to stand for the most defenseless class of humanity the world has ever known, to stand against the oppression of the unborn by Liberals. If you love liberty then being pro-life will help ensure that liberty will last amid the constant onslaught of the Left.

Woman Is Rushed To The Hospital After An Abortion In Washignton

How many more women need to die in America or get rushed to the hospital before the Liberal pro-abortion myth about abortion being safe is exposed for what it is? In Kansas five women have died in the past five years because of having an abortion. The most recent example of how abortion is never safe comes from Washington. From Life News:

A Planned Parenthood in Everett, Washington sent a woman to the hospital late Friday following a botched abortion and the head of the local abortion business is coming under fire for her response to the events.

Local pro-life advocate Mary Emanuel was at the abortion facility at the time and snapped pictures of the ambulance that whisked the woman away from the Everett Planned Parenthood.

“We are still investigating as to the severity of the botched abortion and only pray that it was not fatal or caused serious injuries,” she said.

Emanuel related the events of the afternoon, saying, “Events started to unfold a little before 1:00 p.m. when I heard sirens approaching the corner of Hoyt and 32nd in Everett, Washington. As the red engine rounded the corned from the south I walked hastily to see if it would move beyond Planned Parenthood on Hoyt. Unfortunately it stopped and three paramedics unloaded their gear and went in the side entrance.”

She said a woman eventually arrived with a white poster board, which Planned Parenthood staffers later used to block the view from the street when they loaded the injured woman into the ambulance.

“The employees weren’t their usual smug and surly selves. They actually seemed sad and did not want to make eye contact. However, when I asked one employee who had brought something to a woman in her car how it was going, she replied, ‘good,’” Emanuel recalls. “After the paramedics had gone inside I waited to see if an ambulance would appear. Indeed, not long after that, maybe five minutes, the ambulance arrived and they took a gurney inside.”

About 40 minutes later, Emanuel says “Planned Parenthood employees started filtering out the side door that opens onto the parking lot to form a conga line. They held big blue and white umbrellas, those white poster boards, and a flattened cardboard box in order to try to obstruct our view of the situation. That tells you about their priorities. The woman was slowly wheeled out into the parking lot and loaded into the ambulance. There must have been 10 to 12 employees of Planned Parenthood trying to protect their reputation and hide this horrific incident from the public. They performed the same ritual for the partner or friend or parent of the injured woman. The only thing I saw was a red sock, crumpled and askew on the woman’s foot.”

The ambulance likely took the woman to the emergency room at Providence Hospital, the pro-life, who runs the web site Abortion in Washington, said...

Yes, abortion may be legal in America, but it is never safe for the woman. it is way past time to de-fund an organization that puts the lives of women in jeopardy on a daily basis.

Protest Abortion And Get A Firebomb Thrown At You; Happened To Elderly Woman In Montana

A homemade incendiary device was thrown at one of the participants of the 40 Days for Life pro-life prayer vigil at an abortion business in Kalispell, Montana on Thursday night.

The woman walked on the public sidewalk near the abortion business when an unidentified person threw the device — akin to a “Molotov cocktail” — in her direction. The woman did not see either the firebomb nor the assailant it exploded on the sidewalk behind her, making a loud popping noise like a big firecracker as it burst into flame. Fortunately, the woman was not hurt in the incident.

After she regained her composure, the victim called Karen Trierweiler, coordinator of the 40 Days prayer vigils in Kalispell at the All Family Health Care abortion center, over to her.

After a lengthy delay, a Kalispell police officer arrived. However, according to officials with the Thomas More Society, a pro-life legal group that is helping the participants, instead of inspecting the bomb debris or calling evidence technicians to the scene, the officer remarked that police could never get prints or other evidence from the bomb’s remains and said he would call the city’s garbage service to dispose of all the debris.

The officer then said that the 40 Days prayer vigil participants should expect this kind of reaction if they’re protesting at the abortion business. Questioning Officer Hoover’s assessment of the attack, Trierweiler called the Kalispell desk sergeant to complain, where she was unable to get further assistance.

Tom Brejcha, president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Society says his group has filed a formal complaint with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Field Office in Helena, Montana. The organization is for an immediate, intensive investigation of what it calls a “vicious” attack.

“We are appalled by this terrible act of violence, while we’re immensely grateful that God’s grace spared this valiant pro-lifer any serious injury,” he told LifeNews.com this afternoon. “But the reaction of Kalispell police officers after Ms. Trierweiler called them to the scene was equally appalling, indeed outrageous.”

“We intend to file disciplinary complaints against both the officer who came to the crime scene and the desk sergeant whose tepid, indifferent, and grossly unprofessional response to this blatant act of domestic terrorism shows them both unfit to wear a police uniform and at best deserving of severe disciplinary action. We expect much better from the FBI and we will pursue the matter to the very highest levels of the U.S. Department of Justice if this case is not investigated promptly and vigorously and — once the assailant is identified and apprehended — prosecuted to the hilt,” he continued.

Trierweiler also reported that an eyewitness has stepped forward, who was not part of the 40 Days campaign but was a passerby and who the incident occur and may be able to help the FBI track down the bomb thrower and bring him to justice.

Mayor Bloomberg Signs Pro-Abortion Bill

They attack any attempt to require a woman see an ultrasound of her baby before killing it with an abortion and yet they can demand that pro-life pregnancy care centers have to say what services they provide up front. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg signed a bill today that adversely affects pregnancy centers that the city council approved and that is expected to quickly become the subject of a lawsuit.

Earlier this month, on a 39-9-1 vote, council members approved an ordinance that would place stringent limits on the advertising pregnancy centers use and require them to post signs designed to dissuade women from seeking their abortion alternatives services.

The American Center for Law and Justice, a pro-life law firm, had threatened to file a lawsuit against the city if Bloomberg signs the bill into law. But, before doing so, it delivered a letter to the mayor on behalf of EMC FrontLine Pregnancy Centers, a chain of a dozen pregnancy centers in the Big Apple, asking for a formal hearing on the ordinance required under city statutes.

Bloomberg appeared to ignore the letter and signed the bill into law today at a public signing ceremony for three pieces of legislation.

“To ensure that women are fully informed of the services provided by pregnancy service centers, this bill requires the centers to inform their clients whether they have a licensed medical provider on staff and disclose whether they provide certain pregnancy-related services or not. This bill also requires centers to provide confidentiality protections for their clients’ personal and health information,” he said before signing the bill.

Bloomberg thanked the council for approving the legislation and singled out Speaker Quinn and Council Members Lappin, Arroyo, Ferreras, Mendez, Garodnick, Reyna, Foster, Brewer, Fidler, James, Koppell, Koslowitz, Lander, Palma, Rose, Van Bramer, Rodriguez, Chin, Dickens, Dromm, Mark-Viverito, Jackson and Barron for supporting Bill 371-A.

Queens Councilman Dan Halloran opposed the measure and talked about why he did so.

“It is time for the left to realize that if you want true choice, it means two sides to an equation,” he said. “That’s what we’re here for and that’s what my colleagues and I will stand up against. And believe me, this will not end here today. I have no delusion that the speaker has lined up sufficient votes to make this happen. But the courts will speak tomorrow, and the courts will say, this is not constitutional. This is an abridgement of our First Amendment rights, and we’re not going to stand for it.”

The letter requesting the hearing provided grounds for one of several arguments pregnancy centers and their attorneys will use to try to get the measure declared unconstitutional.

Attorneys for the ACLJ contend Municipal Home Rule Law § 20 (5), as it applies to New York City, was violated in the rush to approve Bill 0-71A. The law provides that no local law shall be approved by the Mayor unless a public hearing has been held before him and that notice of the public hearing must be made at least five days before the hearing and within ten days of presentation of the introduction. The notice is required to be published in the City Record and in a daily newspaper or newspapers for public information.

“Mr. Mayor, we demand our fair public hearing before you on the merits of this unwarranted Bill, which seeks to cripple free alternative to abortion counseling, ultrasounds, and quick and easy access to pre-natal care, which we provide in four boroughs,” Chris Slattery, founder and president of the pregnancy center group, said at the time.

ACLJ attorneys also contend the New York City Council disrespected the rule of law when it hastily passed the ordinance in violation of section 36 of the New York City Charter. This section states that the Council shall not pass a local law until it shall have been in its final form and upon the desks of the council members at least seven calendar days, exclusive of Sundays, prior to its final passage. The bill did not reach its final form until the Committee on Women’s Issues voted on the amended version on Tuesday, March 1. Therefore, ACLJ says, the introduction, in its final form, reached the council members’ desks less than twenty four hours prior to the vote.

Bloomberg signed the bill just after a new report indicated 41 percent of pregnancies in New York City end in abortion.

The report, which was recently exposed at a press conference by Archbishop Timothy Dolan and an interfaith coalition of religious leaders, showed an abortion rate of 60% for African American women and that 90% of all abortions in New York City were performed on ethnic minorities...

A choice made out of ignorance it no real choice and it seems that feminists would rather keep women ignorant about what is being killed.

There are a lot of choice quotes in this video and they all give us a powerful insight into the beliefs of those who not merely pro-choice but pro-abortion. From Life News: (Language Warning)

It is tragic that someone can be so committed to the killing of a defenseless and innocent human being. Praising someone who has had an abortion is disturbing, they are praising someone who just killed their baby. Abortion is seen as the only solution, even preferable to adoption. I suspect that the people in this video would not know about an increasing and desperately needed movement among Christians to care for the orphans of the world and who want to adopt unwanted babies. These people need to be confronted with the truth and Christians need to stand against their promotion of evil. Christians should do this by bringing the Gospel message to them and by contending with them for the precious life of the unborn baby.

Any Christian who has aligned themselves with Planned Parenthood or the pro-choce/abortion crowd needs to repent. Christians cannot be pro-choice or support those who are.

Planned Parenthood Wants To Tolerate The Sexual Abuse Of Underage Girls

What else would you expect from an organization that profits off the killing of unborn children? It is getting easier to show that an organization like Planned Parenthood is not merely pro-choice but pro-abortion. This is the case because anyone who opposes all common sense restrictions on abortion is someone who wants the only choice for an unwanted pregnancy to be abortion. This helps explain why Planned Parenthood is opposing a common sense bill in Illinois that would require medical personnel to report instances of the sexual abuse of children. From Live Action:

Currently in Illinois, only licensed health care professionals at health care centers like Planned Parenthood are required to report the sexual abuse of a child to state authorities. What this means is Planned Parenthood staff including volunteers, front-desk staff (which often willingly offer medical guidance), and other non-licensed office staff are not required to report child sexual abuse when they find out that a child is being abused.

There is a proposed law, HB 2093 that would expand who is a mandated reporter of child sexual abuse to include every employee or volunteer of any organizations that provides or refers for reproductive health care. This more expansive definition of who should be required to report child sexual abuse is consistent with most other states that I have looked into.

Why then is Planned Parenthood opposing this common-sense measure that requires that all Planned Parenthood staff report child sex abuse when made aware of it? Planned Parenthood writes on their website:
HB 2093 requires office staff and volunteers of organizations that provide reproductive health care or sex education to be mandated reporters of child abuse. All doctors, nurses and teachers are already mandated reporters. Therefore, these organizations are already legally required to make reports. This bill creates redundant regulations that have the potential to overload the Department of Children and Family Services.

Is Nebraska's Pro-Life Law Cruel And Inhumane?

This is a tragic story but not one that can be used to justify abortion like many Liberal blogs are seeking to do. From the Nebraska State Paper:

Nebraska’s new abortion law forced Danielle Deaver to live through ten excruciating days, waiting to give birth to a baby that she and her doctors knew would die minutes later, fighting for breath that would not come.

And that’s what happened. The one-pound, ten-ounce girl, Elizabeth, was born December 8th. Deaver and husband Robb watched, held and comforted the baby as it gasped for air, hoping she was not suffering. She died 15 minutes later.

The sponsor of the controversial Nebraska statute, Sen. Mike Flood of Norfolk, told the Des Moines Register that the law worked as it was intended in the Deavers’ case.

"Even in these situations where the baby has a terminal condition or there's not much chance of surviving outside of the womb, my point has been and remains that is still a life," Flood said in an interview with the Iowa newspaper.

The law, the only one of its kind in America, prohibits abortions after the 20th week. It is based on the disputed argument that a fetus may feel pain at that stage. It took effect last October.

"Our hands were tied," Danielle Deaver of Grand Island told The Register in a story published Sunday. "The outcome of my pregnancy, that choice was made by God. I feel like how to handle the end of my pregnancy, that choice should have been mine, and it wasn't because of a law."

Deaver, 34, and her husband planned the pregnancy and wanted a second child, she said.

Their dreams ended tragically when they learned, shortly before the premature birth, that the pregnancy could not go to term and that the fetus had virtually no chance to survive. She was in her 22nd week of pregnancy when her water broke. Abortion was barred at 20 weeks by the Nebraska law...

They couldn’t, and Danielle had to continue the pregnancy and give birth...Amazing things do happen. And so do torturous, horrible and cruel things. What happened to the Deavers is the latter.

Notice how each response seems to be concerned about the suffering of the mother while completely ignoring the suffering the unborn baby girl would have gone through with an abortion that would have torn her to pieces. The mother wonders if her daughter suffered those minutes after being born but seems to completely rule out the suffering her daughter would have gone through by being aborted. To call what happened here "torturous, cruel, inhumane, and heartless" reflects the profound moral confusion of the Left. Letting a natural process unfold is not these things, but taking a direct and intentional action to kill an unborn baby by tearing it to pieces is "torturous, cruel, inhumane, and heartless".

NHS Chief Calls For The Infanticide Of Babies Born At 23 Weeks

This is the sad but logical and necessary end of Liberalism. The justification of outright infanticide is what follows from a world view that says the unborn child can be aborted for any reason and at any time. Even twin boys are killed through abortion because they were the wrong gender. Now the NHS Chief in the United Kingdom is openly calling for a policy of infanticide to implemented. Babies born after just 23 weeks of pregnancy or earlier should be left to die, a leading NHS official has said.

Dr Daphne Austin said that despite millions being spent on specialised treatments, very few of these children survive as their tiny bodies are too underdeveloped.

She claimed keeping them alive is only ‘prolonging their agony’, and it would be better to invest the money in care for cancer sufferers or the disabled.

Dr Austin, who advises local health trusts how to spend their budgets, said doctors were ‘doing more harm than good by resuscitating 23-weekers’ and that treatments have ‘very marginal benefit’.

The NHS spends around £10million a year resuscitating babies born this early and keeping them alive on incubators and ventilators.

But despite round-the-clock care from teams of experienced doctors and nurses, just 9 per cent leave hospital – the rest die. And only one in 100 grows up without some form of disability. The most common include blindness, deafness and cerebral palsy.

Guidelines state that doctors should not try to resuscitate babies born under 22 weeks, as they are too underdeveloped, but those born between 22 and 25 weeks should routinely be given intensive care.

After advice from doctors, parents should have the final say on what attempts should be made to keep them alive. Almost all are resuscitated as families cling to the hope that they will pull through against the odds...

Here in America Liberals are outraged that pro-lifers would dare to say that a beating heart of a human being constitutes life and has value. Every human life has value because we have been created in the image of God.

NYC Gets Even More Pro-Abortion By Passing Anti-CPC Legislation

I guess it is not enough that 40 percent of all pregnancies in New York City end in abortion. They now must intimidate and silence any alternative voice to ease the conscience of those who justify the oppression of the unborn, denying them justice. Anyone who seeks to silence those defending the justice of the unborn is not merely pro-choice, but is pro-abortion. Remember when we told you about that hearing in NYC to consider legislation that would regulate crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) in New York City?

Well, today, just a few months later, all that advocacy has paid off, as New York City just passed that very legislation by an overwhelming vote of 39-9-1. From now on, CPC’s in NYC will be regulated to prevent them from lying or misrepresenting themselves to women.

They will be required to disclose whether they have a licensed medical provider, and also say whether they’ll refer women to other services, including emergency contraception and abortion.

This is amazing news, since, as yall know, these centers use false information, lies, and scare tactics to intimidate women out of accessing the care they want and need.

Huge thanks go out to city council member Christine Quinn and New York mayor Michael Bloomberg, who both backed the bill, as well as the countless advocates who showed their support for this cause from the beginning.

Flash Mob Of Pro-Lifers Shows Up At Pro-Abortion Rally (Video)

Pro-abortion protesters in Chicago met with a surprising sight this Saturday when a pro-life “flash mob” burst onto the scene and presented a jubilant, life-affirming message.

The gaggle of pro-lifers suddenly appeared on the rain-drenched Daley Plaza where the pro-aborts were gathered for a “Walk for Choice.” They pulled hundreds of bright yellow balloons, printed with the word “LIFE,” out of trash bags and began singing pro-life chants.

The abortion supporters had gathered to protest against House Republicans’ efforts to end taxpayer funding of abortion.

Videos posted on YouTube captured the upbeat spirit of the pro-life crowd, composed mostly of youth. In a playful jab at the “Walk for Choice” theme color, the youths held up large letters spelling, “Orange you glad to see us?”

“Walk for Choice” protests took place on February 26 in several U.S. cities to protest H.R. 3, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, sponsored by U.S. Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) and cosponsored by 209 more House lawmakers.

The flash mob was spearheaded by a pro-life youth group, dubbed the Crusaders for Life, which is based in St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Chicago, but includes many youth from surrounding parishes as well.

Brother Chad McCoy of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius said that the flash mob idea fit in with the upbeat attitude of the group, which also brought yellow balloons to the March for Life in Washington, D.C. in January. “It’s always been our style. We want to show these people the culture of life, and joy, and love,” McCoy told LifeSiteNews.com, and hinted that more pro-life flash mobs may be in store later this year.

“There’s just something about yellow balloons. ... You can’t help but smile when you see a yellow balloon.”

Although the plot didn’t go off as smoothly as they had hoped - organizers weren’t able to keep their wares completely hidden as they approached the scene - McCoy said the overall effect was a success. He noted that, especially owing to the “orange” sign, pro-aborts at first were confused by the bubbly group of about two or three hundred people, adults as well as young children.

“They started laughing when they saw it, before they realized, ‘oh wait, these are pro-lifers,’” said McCoy.

McCoy praised the young adults behind the scheme, saying that they maintain a true dedication to the cause for life by praying both in church and outside local abortion mills for hours each Saturday, even in bitter cold. “These kids know what the reality is,” he said.

A new contributor at Feministing, who said she was present at the Walk for Choice, admitted that the cheerful “anti-choicers’” display was “pretty impressive,” and lamented the angry response by some in the pro-choice crowd.

“Although I feel it’s important to acknowledge the side of the debate that is trying to limit reproductive freedoms, I hated the back and forth shouting between both sides,” wrote “Emily.” “I was hoping I would cross paths with the anti-choicers as we walked around the Loop so I could smile and wave and acknowledge their humanity.”

Alveda King Agrees With Pro-Life Billboards Expressing Concern About The Abortion Of Black Babies

That last thing someone who is pro-abortion wants it to be confronted with the evil reality of their position. A pro-life billboard campaign has sought to confront pro-abortion absolutists with the evil truth of the position and they are having nothing to do with. The only decision pro-abortion absolutists will tolerate is the one that ends in the death of the unborn baby. In New York City they are taking down one of these billboards and Alveda King support them being up.

Pro-life activist Alveda King reacted to the removal on Friday of a billboard advertisement in Manhattan that featured a black girl and the statement “the most dangerous place for an African American is in the womb.”

“It is an outrageous act of censorship that this billboard was taken down,” King said. “This billboard should be posted in every city of the country.

The billboard message’s placement comes in the wake of a report released last month by the New York City Department of Health that revealed an abortion rate of 41 percent of all pregnancies in the city in 2009 -- with 59.8 percent of those to African-American women.

“The message of this billboard is totally accurate,” King said in a statement issued by Priests for Life where she is the director of African-American Outreach. “The most dangerous place for an African-American is in the womb!”

She added: “And it should provoke outrage in the African-American community—not because it is racist, but because of the truth it reveals; the truth that is being kept from the African-American community.”

The billboard message was a project of thatsabortion.com, which paid for the message as part of its LifeAlways project.

“There is a battle being waged in the United States that has taken more lives than any foreign war or act of terrorism,” the Web site states about the project. “The enemy is abortion.

“Its supporters include the main stream media, liberal representatives in government, and Planned Parenthood, the country's largest abortion provider,” the statement says.

CNN reported on Friday that Lamar Advertising, which owns the billboard, decided to take down the message after people who opposed it threatened workers in the building located next to the billboard.

Obama Rescinds The Conscience Clause Forcing Abortion On Health Care Workers

While everyone has been distracted with the events in the Middle East and now Wisconsin, President Obama quietly assaulted health care workers. From Life News:

The long-awaited decision by President Barack Obama to overturn conscience protections the Bush administration put in place to protect pro-life medical workers who don’t want to be involved in certain medical procedures has finally occurred.

In 2008, the Bush administration issued a rule that prohibited recipients of federal money from discriminating against doctors, nurses and health care aides who refuse to take part in medical procedures to which they have religious or moral objections. The rule implemented existing conscience protection laws that ensure medical professionals cannot be denied employment because they do not want to assist in abortions.

At the end of February 2009, the Obama administration announced it began “reviewing” the regulations implementing conscience laws, the first step toward rescinding the rule.

Today, the administration rescinded part of the protections today with the Health and Human Services Department scrapping a portion of the rule, which it called “unclear and potentially overbroad in scope.” Obama officials put a new rule in place that leaves in place protections on abortion but offers no protection for medical workers who have moral or religious objections to dispensing or giving to women the Plan B drug or other emergency contraception that could act in some cases as an abortion drug.

“The department supports clear and strong conscience protections for health-care providers who are opposed to performing abortions,” the rule states, according to a Washington Post report.

The new regulation goes into effect in 30 days and the Post says it ensures no federal funds can be used to “support coercive or discriminatory policies or practices in violation of federal law.”

“The administration strongly supports provider conscience laws that protect and support the rights of health care providers, and also recognizes and supports the rights of patients. Strong conscience laws make it clear that health care providers cannot be compelled to perform or assist in an abortion. Many of these strong conscience laws have been in existence for more than 30 years. The rule being issued today builds on these laws by providing a clear enforcement process,” a statement from HHS said.

Reacting to the decision, Dr. J. Scott Ries, speaking for the 16,000-member Christian Medical Association, protested what he called a decision to “weaken the only federal regulation protecting the exercise of conscience in health care.”

“The administration has made changes in a vital civil rights regulation without evidence or justification,” he told LifeNews.com. “The administration presented no evidence of any problems in healthcare access, prescriptions or procedures that have occurred in the two years since the original regulation’s enactment that would justify any change in this protective regulation.”

In other words, the Obama administration is now ready to use the coercive power of the state to force medical personnel to perform acts they consider to be morally wrong and unhealthy for their patients. One obvious implication of this is that the state now finds it necessary to force medical professionals to do what they by conscience do not think is right. Allowed to act by conscience, these medical professionals clearly would not do what the state now requires them to do.

Just imagine how our nation’s founders would consider such a tyrannical trampling of individual conscience by the power of the state. From a Christian perspective, this should serve as a clear alarm for those who suggest that it is paranoid to believe that the state will use similar force to require other acts against conscience. The logic is right here for all to see, and only the willfully blind can deny what this new policy means.

President Obama may idolize China a little too much these days. Obama cannot force women to have abortions but he can now force the medical community to be involved in them against their will.

Botched Abortion In Missouri Sends Woman To Hospital

Abortion may be legal in America but it is never safe. From Life Site News:

A Planned Parenthood (PP) facility in St. Louis, MO called for emergency ambulance transportation for a botched abortion victim on Saturday, reports Operation Rescue.

According to the pro-life organization, the woman was removed from the abortion facility on a stretcher and transported by ambulance to local Barnes-Jewish-Christian Hospital. Witness and pro-life sidewalk counselor Marty Bennet took numerous photographs during the event.

Saturday’s emergency transport is just one of many such incidents that have taken place at the St. Louis facility during the last two years, said Bennet in a written statement. “From June 2009 until April 2010, nine ambulances have been at Planned Parenthood and each time a client was transported to Barnes Hospital,” wrote Bennet. “Is this safe medical care?”

At the time of the incident, Bennet left contact information offering help on the vehicle that accompanied the ambulance to the hospital. Later, the husband of the woman phoned Bennet to thank him for his concern and assure him that his wife was in stable condition.

“This incident in St. Louis only underscores the dangers of abortion mills in America, which all too often operate without accountability or oversight,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “Our tax money should not be used to prop up shady and dangerous abortion businesses that prey on the vulnerable and act as if they are above the law.”

PP has faced a series of scandals in recent weeks, fueling public distrust in the abortion giant’s agenda. The pro-life group Live Action has released a number of undercover videos showing the abortion giant willing to aid and abet underage sex trafficking.

Yesterday, Live Action pointed out that in their previous video on a Planned Parenthood facility in Virginia, a PP staffer had advised one of their undercover reporters posing as a pimp, who said he was concerned that he might have an STD, to get it checked out by donating blood.

“I tell a lot of people… if you’re not quite sure… for peace of mind, go donate blood – cause if you go donate blood, they have to test for everything anyway. And you know, a lot of plasma places, they’ll test you for free,” said the PP staffer...

Protest Planned Parenthood Today At Noon

At noon today go to the Planned Parenthood nearest you and show that you do not tolerate the sex trafficking of underage girls like they do. From One News Now:

A number of pro-life organizations, under the name "Expose Planned Parenthood," are joining together at noon today for the first-ever "vigil for victims of underage sex trafficking" at Planned Parenthood facilities throughout the country.

"We are asking pro-lifers, people of faith and conscience, to get out in front of a local Planned Parenthood facility at noon in whatever time zone you may live in and to stand and pray and ask our Lord for his help to defund Planned Parenthood," explains Kristan Hawkins of Students for Life of America.

At least one clinic worker has already been fired, and Congress has already received a bill suggesting that federal funding be brought to an end. So Hawkins believes the effort is closer than ever to gaining success.

"We have the chance with these videos that have come out from Live Action showing Planned Parenthood workers aiding and abetting sex traffickers, and this is on top of years of investigative work showing Planned Parenthood is violating federal law time and time again."

During the course of the prayer event, Hawkins is asking people to call or e-mail their elected representatives in Washington and urge them to vote against further funding for the largest abortion provider and referral agency in the country.

Second Trimester Abortions Can Now Be Stopped At The Resurrection Hospital

Resurrection Hospital is an appropriate name for a hospital helping women stop their second trimester abortions if they change their mind after beginning the process. From Life Site News:

Chicago’s Resurrection Hospital is making national news with its new commitment to reversing mid-term abortions for women who have changed their minds and wish to have their babies.

The program, which was formally dedicated on January 26, is called the Bethlehem Project, and is being conducted in cooperation with Chicago’s Pro-Life Action League and the Chicago Women’s Center. It assists women to reverse a second-trimester abortion known as Dilation and Evacuation (D&E), a procedure that takes two days to complete.

Women undergoing a D&E abortion must pass through a 24-hour period in which their cervix is dilated using laminaria made from seaweed or another substance, which slowly expands. After the cervix has been opened sufficiently, the abortionist applies a vacuum hose and forceps to tear the unborn child to pieces, which are removed one by one until the entire body is extracted.

Through the Bethlehem Project, Resurrection Hospital is committed to removing the laminaria from the cervix of women who do not wish to complete their abortions, and to give them whatever medical attention is necessary to protect their health and that of their unborn children, something abortion providers are hesitant or unwilling to do.

The story of the hospital’s commitment to the unborn is now being reported by news organizations across the United States, including Time Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, and Fox News.

Sister Donna Marie Wolowicki, CEO of Resurrection Hospital, told the Chicago Tribune that stopping abortions is “part of who we are,” and added that “Catholic health care is to reach out to people and help them in their need. Of course, it’s vital to be true to the ethics we believe in. Holding life sacred is a big piece of what we believe.”

“We hope that in other parts of the country where abortion clinics are doing late term abortions, sidewalk counselors can forge similar relationships with Catholic or Christian hospitals to meet the needs of women who want to reverse the abortion procedure and choose life for their babies,” said Ann Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League. “We’re happy to help make that happen.”

Three unborn children have reportedly been saved by the program since it began in October. The Tribune quotes one beneficiary of the program who was stopped by a “pushy” priest who encouraged her to halt her second-trimester abortion.

“Thank God this man stopped us,” the woman said in an anonymous interview. “He saved the life of my baby and maybe he saved my life too.”

Wait for the feminists to go ballistic that the baby is not being killed because the only "choice" they want to see is the one that ends in the death of the unborn child.

Planned Parenthood is concerned about underage girls being forced into prostitution? That is what they would like you to believe but the facts do not support that. Planned Parenthood makes money by killing innocent and defenseless babies. In a new video we see just how far pro-abortion advocates are willing to go in order to cover up real injustice in order to oppress the unborn. It was only after Planned Parenthood realized they were busted that they reported this. So what will pro-choice advocates tolerate in the name of abortion? And calling them pro-choice is really too generous, they are pro-abortion. They will tolerate infanticide, statutory rape, and now child prostitution. This is the fruit of Liberalism/Progressivism. What they call themselves does not really matter, the fruit will always be the same: the murder of children.

Christie Vetoes Bill That Would Fund Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood should lose all funding at the state and federal level. It is an organization that will tolerate infanticide, the rape of underage girls, and even underage girls being forced to be prostitutes, and they think your underage daughter should be able to get an abortion without your knowledge. Thankfully Governor Chris Christie has taken a stand against funding Planned Parenthood, an organization that was started by Nazi sympathizer, Margaret Sanger. From Life News:

Following the release of a video that has received nationwide attention showing Planned Parenthood staff at a New Jersey abortion center helping alleged sexual traffickers cover up their crimes with abortions and STD testing, Governor Chris Christie has vetoed a bill funding Planned Parenthood.

A new undercover video shows Planned Parenthood officials in New Jersey telling a pimp and his prostitute assistant how they can get abortions for young teenage girls who, Planned Parenthood officials are informed, are Asians in the country illegally and forced into the sex trade. The staffer was later fired for her actions.

The Perth Amboy abortion center where the video is filmed is the second-largest Planned Parenthood center operated by Planned Parenthood of Central New Jersey and the abortion business plans to double its number of abortion centers in the state.

Christie has already yanked state taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood but the state legislature sent him a bill to restore the taxpayer funds.

Marie Tasy, Executive Director for New Jersey Right to Life, applauded the veto in an email to LifeNews.com.

“We thank Governor Christie for vetoing this bill. A3273/S2393 would have forced taxpayers to support the activities and expansion of an organization that was caught on tape aiding and abetting in the sex trafficking and abortions of minors as young as 14. In vetoing this bill, Governor Christie has ensured that NJ taxpayers will not be complicit in the sexual abuse and exploitation of poor women and minors under the pretense of ‘women’s health,’” she said.

“Over the last year, several New Jersey lawmakers endorsed by Planned Parenthood have continued to defy the Governor and push legislation to use taxpayer money to fund these clinics,” she said. “Using buzz words and phrases like ‘gender equity’ and ‘poor women’s access to health care,’ these lawmakers have invoked ‘mothers, daughters, wives, sisters and friends who may one day find themselves without health care’ to try to obtain support for their misguided attempts to fund Planned Parenthood.”

“After viewing this video, we ask, who in their right mind would trust their mother, wife, sister, friend and especially their minor daughter to Planned Parenthood?” she added.

Family research Council President Tony Perkins also praised Christie:

“As the unethical and illegal activities of Planned Parenthood continue to be exposed, the pressure will build not only here in Washington but in states across the nation to end taxpayer subsidies to the nation’s largest abortion organization. Undercover sting operations in New Jersey and around the country demonstrate Planned Parenthood’s willingness to cover-up sexual abuse and even exploit victims of child prostitution,” he said. “I commend Governor Chris Christie for refusing to underwrite the apparent criminal behavior of Planned Parenthood. His commitment to both human dignity and fiscal responsibility deserve high praise.”

The bill would have restored the family planning funds his administration cut from the state budget because of deep economic troubles. The money flows in part to Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business...

Planned Parenthood Covers Up Underage Prostitution (Video)

Who could possibly justify the continuation of funds of any kind going to Planned Parenthood? The list of abuses keeps growing. We are already aware that they cover up the rape of underage girls, and now we find out that Planned Parenthood will cover up underage prostitution.

This comes on the heels of finding out that an abortion doctor repeatedly practiced infanticide. Liberals will oppress the poor and the orphan in order to preserve their perverse view of right and wrong and abortion is the most glaring example of this. The sickest part of this is that feminists and others at Planned Parenthood are only upset because they have been exposed doing such things. From Feministing via The Washington Post:

Planned Parenthood, a perennial protest target because of its role in providing abortions, has notified the FBI that at least 12 of its health centers were visited recently by a man purporting to be a sex trafficker but who may instead be part of an attempted ruse to entrap clinic employees.

In each case, according to Planned Parenthood, the man sought to speak privately with a clinic employee and then requested information about health services for sex workers, including some who he said were minors and in the U.S. illegally.

Planned Parenthood's vice president for communications, Stuart Schear, said the organization has requested an FBI probe of the man's claims and has already fielded some initial FBI inquiries. However, Schear said Planned Parenthood's own investigation indicates that the man has links with Live Action, an anti-abortion group that has conducted previous undercover projects aimed at discrediting the nation's leading abortion provider...

This is further proof that abortion advocates are not merely pro-choice but pro-abortion and will tolerate infanticide and even the rape of underage girls in order to keep abortion legal. Truly evil.

We new from the 2008 Presidential campaign that then Senator Obama was not merely pro-choice but pro-abortion. Obama is so pro-abortion that he was willing tolerate infanticide as a state Senator in Illinois. Obama reaffirms his committment to abortion rights on the 38Th anniversary of abortion becoming legal in America. From Weasel Zippers via the Associated Press:

President Barack Obama is marking the 38th anniversary of the Supreme Court's landmark decision on abortion by calling the procedure a constitutional right he's committed to protecting.

Obama also said in a statement Saturday that he remains committed to policies designed to prevent unintended pregnancies. And he called on Americans to recommit themselves to ensuring that, in the president's words, "our daughters have the same rights, the same freedoms, and the same opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams."

Obama said the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion affirmed what he called a "fundamental principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters."

Anti-abortion activists will participate in an annual "March for Life" in Washington on Monday.

If you doubt that President Obama was willing to tolerate infanticide here is the proof.

The American people in general and Christians in particular need to understand something: The evil that President Obama has tolerated and lied about tolerating in the past, namely infanticide, proves that we cannot trust him or the Democrats with our health care. For what kind of evil will they tolerate next?

Let me first remind you of the Obama's attack on those who exposed his tolerance of infanticide, in that he was so committed to abortion that he was willing to let newborn babies die in order to preserver abortion on demand.

Now to then state Senator Obama's comments: the truly offending comments come around 6:30 in the video when Obama says he does not want to burden the mother, as the bill would require intervention, if the child is born alive.

President Obama has surrounded himself with radical Liberal Totalitarians who have adopted a racially cleansed version of eugenics. If he was willing to tolerate infanticide in order to maintain his pro-abortion absolutism, then abortion is going to be a key element to Obamacare. The elderly are in danger as well. Once Liberals devalue human life to the extent that they have there is no stopping whose life is cheapened.

This is why no Christian can support President Obama or his fellow Liberals in Congress. Christians who support President Obama are helping to spread one of the most wicked acts found in the Bible, child sacrifice.

"They worshiped their idols,
which became a snare to them.

They sacrificed their sons
and their daughters to demons.

They shed innocent blood,
the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
and the land was desecrated by their blood." Psalm 106:36-38

Not only are Christians who support Liberals helping to propagate sin, they are also helping to ensure that their brethren, who remain faithful to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, will be persecuted. For what else can happen when the State makes sin a public right and faithful Christians preach salvation through Jesus Christ in the repentance of such sin? Have we forgotten that Jesus rebuked Saul for persecuting Him when he persecuted the first Christians?

"Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples. He went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"

"Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked.

May God help us to get through the Obama Presidency and let it it end in 2012.

Pastors Need To Take A Stand For The Unborn In Their Churches

This has been a revealing week in terms of what a pro-abortion world view is all about. We had twin boys killed for merely being the wrong gender and we had at least seven instances of infanticide at an abortion providers clinic. It should hopefully be clear to Christians in general, but pastors in particular, that they can no longer ignore the issue of abortion. Just as the faithful in the Old Testament could not ignore the murder of children to false gods of the age then, so today the faithful cannot ignore the murder of children to false gods of today, even if that murder takes place in the womb. From Eternal Perspective Ministries:

We must model how to address the painful issue of abortion with grace and truth. We also must stop thinking of abortion as a side issue. Addressing life issues has always been central to the Christian’s calling. Church is more than a social club. We are not here simply to help each other feel good; we are here to help each other be good. And sometimes that means taking some medicine we’d rather not take in order to get well. The abortion issue isn’t about the church needing to speak to the world, it’s about the church needing to speak to itself first, and then to the world. One out of five women having an abortion in America claims to be a born-again Christian. Yet pastors tell me, “I don’t talk about abortion because it will make our people feel guilty, since many have had abortions.”

Isn’t that exactly why we should talk about it? To help men as well as women — since every child has two parents — recognize and deal with their guilt and receive Christ’s grace? And to help others avoid the sin that creates guilt?

Many have experienced God’s forgiveness and profound healing after abortions. Those who suffer most are those who do not face the truth. Deep inside they know it, their consciences accuse them, and they often pursue self-destructive behaviors. Our silence isn’t grace — it’s cruelty.

Sometimes showing grace requires silence. Other times it requires speaking up. If you see a friend making poor choices that may result in later grief, you owe her the truth. Share it, then offer grace and help. We should help women with unwanted pregnancies see that abortion will hurt them, not help them. Many women believe that abortion is wrong, but they think it’s better than raising a child or surrendering a child for adoption. We must show them that, while the alternatives are challenging, abortion is the only one that kills an innocent person. And because it does, it has by far the most negative consequences in a woman’s life. We should love and care for pregnant women who feel pressured toward abortion. We should also love women who’ve had abortions and do all we can to help them recover from abortion’s trauma.

A man at our church, in his 60s, told me of a girl he got pregnant 39 years ago. She asked him to choose what she should do; he chose abortion. It has haunted him ever since. He thinks about the son or daughter he lost and wonders about the grandchildren he’d now be holding. He said to me, “Tell people about the consequences. Warn our young men — tell them God will hold them accountable for what they do with their children.” Then he broke down in tears and said, “I don’t want any of our young men to do what I did 39 years ago.”

There is a great spiritual warfare associated with the issue of abortion. Killing children is Satan’s way of striking out at the very heart of God. If he cannot kill God, the next best thing is killing those created in God’s image. He is killing God in effigy.

To combat this evil, we must proclaim the truth to our congregations first, then to our community: No matter what we have done, no sin is beyond the reach of God’s grace. God has seen us at our worst and still loves us. He loves us as we are, but he loves us too much to let us stay that way. He is determined to bring us to our knees to confess, repent, and be healed...

Time To Call Out Pro-Choice Christians In Light Of The Infanticide Doctor

This past few days have produced some of the most disturbing, but not surprising, facts about what a "pro-choice" world view means. First we had news of a couple aborting twin boys because they were the wrong gender. Then we have the news about an abortion doctor repeatedly committing infanticide. Never mind that abortion is really infanticide in the womb, but this doctor was committing it on newborns. A pastor has taken this news as a way to confront other pastors about their stance on abortion and I think he nails it. From Justin Taylor via Randy Alcorn:

I think every congressman and congresswoman who has stood up, wearing their tailored clothes and giving speeches defending late term abortion—or abortion at any stage—should resign from office. I think every physician who quietly sends women to abortionists should lose his license. In fact, in a morally sane culture, far more serious measures would be taken. They would go to jail, because they have assisted in and promoted the killing of children.

I think that every Christian who keeps voting for “prochoice” candidates and who opposes showing the photos of dead babies, while defending what kills the babies in the photos, should question their faith (is it biblical, or does it merely mirror the current drift of our culture?). They should ask whether Jesus would ever defend and vote for the killing of children. (A graphic picture of the results of abortion is included at the end of this blog.)

I think every church member who is against the observance of Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (this weekend in many churches) and thinks the church shouldn’t talk about abortion—and every pastor who refuses to speak about it from the pulpit—needs to be taken on a virtual tour of that Pennsylvania clinic and come to terms with what abortion really is.

And if the pastor still refuses to open God’s Word and talk about defending the rights of the poor and needy and fatherless, and including unborn children in that, then I think he too should resign. (Along with all members of the church board who lobby against dealing with abortion from the pulpit.) If you lack the conviction or the courage to stand up and say to your church, who you are accountable to lead, “It is wrong to kill unborn babies, God hates it and God will judge it,” then you should not be a pastor. If you don’t have the guts to say “These are children—we must stop killing them” then you need to do something that doesn’t even pretend to take on a biblical and prophetic mantle.

Could we please stop pretending? Abortion is in fact the ruthless killing of an innocent human being...

Santorum Rightly Calls Out Obama Over Support For Abortion; Liberals Complain

Former Senator, Rick Santorum, is getting some attention for calling out President Obama's pro-abortion views. Of course the race obsessed Left cannot handle it when a proper comparison of race is used, like when looking at abortion. From Little Green Footballs via Politico:

In eyebrow raising comments, possible presidential hopeful Rick Santorum is questioning how President Barack Obama — as an African-American — can support abortion rights.

Santorum, a former Republican senator from Pennsylvania who is seriously considering a run for his party’s 2012 presidential nomination, argued in an interview that a fetus is a person and said he considers it “almost remarkable for a black man to say ‘now we are going to decide who are people and who are not people.’”

And how Charles Johnson chooses to introduce the story:

Religious right spokeshole Rick Santorum is in the news today for playing the race card on President Obama, by comparing legal abortions to slavery.

Moving past that and getting to the crux of Johnson's defense of abortion, notice also he has nothing to say about the infanticide doctor in Philadelphia:

That might seem pretty tone-deaf (to say the least), but this kind of talking point is very common among anti-choice fundamentalists like Santorum. They see the issue in stark black and white with no room for reasonable people to disagree, which means that people who support safe, legal abortions aren’t just mistaken or wrong — they’re evil. And evil monsters are capable of anything; slavery, mass murder, genocide, every hideous crime.

And that absolutist world-view is also what drives the periodic eruptions of violence from the more extreme anti-choice groups. If your enemies are committing mass murder of innocents on a gigantic scale, anything is justified if it stops them.

I wonder if infanticide would qualify someone as being an "evil monster"? Johnson offers no real defense of what can only be viewed as a pro-abortion position given his contempt for pro-lifers. The problem is that Liberals have adopted a racially cleansed version of eugenics. They still want the power to decide whose life is unworthy of life, only they no longer make the decision based on race. I think that is what Santorum is trying to get at. Liberals dehumanize all of humanity in the womb, something far worse if think about it. But do not look for any real analysis from Johnson, he is too busy thinking up clever names to call people like "spokeshole".

Doctor Commits Infanticide In Philadelphia (Video)

Fresh on the horrific news that parents aborted twin boys because they are the wrong gender comes this news about infanticide. From Weasel Zippers via CBS:

A West Philadelphia abortion doctor, his wife and eight other suspects are now under arrest following a grand jury investigation.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell, 69, faces eight counts of murder in the deaths of a woman following a botched abortion at his office, along with the deaths of seven other babies who, prosecutors allege, were born alive following illegal late-term abortions and then were killed by severing their spinal cords with a pair of scissors.

“I am aware that abortion is a hot-button topic,” said District Attorney Seth Williams. “But as district attorney, my job is to carry out the law. A doctor who knowingly and systematically mistreats female patients, to the point that one of them dies in his so-called care, commits murder under the law. A doctor who cuts into the necks severing the spinal cords of living, breathing babies, who would survive with proper medical attention, is committing murder under the law.”

Gosnell is facing charges of murder in the third degree for the death of 41-year-old Karnamaya Mongar. Mrs. Mongar died on November 20, 2009, when she was overdosed with anesthetics prescribed by Gosnell. He is also facing seven murder charges for the deaths of infants who were killed after being born viable and alive during the sixth, seventh, or eighth month of pregnancy. Gosnell is also facing numerous other charges...

This is the logical and necessary end of a Liberal view of abortion. This proves the arbitrary nature in which certain life is deemed to be worthy of life. This is what happens when the world rejects the idea that we are created in the image of a righteous God and when Christians partner with those who have contempt for such an idea.

“Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

I am noticing a deafening silence on the Liberal blogs I check about this as well as the news of aborted twin boys. Liberals are comfortable with infanticide because they have to justify it on a daily basis when they defend abortion as an entitlement.

Herman Cain Rightly Calls For The De-Defunding Of Planned Parenthood

I already like what I have heard from Herman Cain in an interview by Ed Morrissey. Now Cain has come out in favor of de-funding Planned Parenthood. From Life News:

Herman Cain is a businessman who is the first Republican to start an exploratory committee to gauge the potential for running a campaign for the GOP nomination to take on pro-abortion President Barack Obama in 2012.

In a new interview, Cain tells American Family Radio’s “Focal Point” program that he is pro-life and opposes the agenda of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s biggest abortion business.

“I absolutely would defund Planned Parenthood — not because I don’t believe in planning parenthood, [but because] Planned Parenthood as an organization is an absolute farce on the American people,” he said.

Cain, who is African-American, accused the abortion business of engaging in a racist agenda.

“People who know the history of Margaret Sanger, who started Planned Parenthood, they know that the intention was not to help young women who get pregnant to plan their parenthood. No — it was a sham to be able to kill black babies,” he added.

He told the program that proof of the agenda is seen in the fact that “75 percent of all Planned Parenthood facilities are located in black neighborhoods.”

Twin Boys Aborted For Being The Wrong Gender

As a father of twin boys who just turned one this weekend, this story totally sickens me. The ease in which parents abort their children these days reflects a deep moral sickness. From the Daily Mail:

A married couple who aborted twin boys the wife was expecting after IVF treatment have gone to court to choose the sex of their next child – because they want a girl.

The husband and wife already have three sons and said they now want to have a girl after their baby daughter died soon after birth.

They are both aged in their 30s and have taken their case to a legal tribunal after an independent medical body known as the Patient Review Panel rejected their bid to choose the gender of their next child using IVF.

The couple said they had made the decision to terminate the twin boys but could not continue to have unlimited numbers of children.

And they warned that If their bid to have a daughter fails, they said they would go to America for IVF treatment in a bid to conceive a girl.

The case, in Australia, is to be reviewed by the State of Victoria's Civil and Administrative Tribunal which has the power to reverse the earlier decision and will hear the case in March.

The unidentified woman conceived her three boys naturally and said she loves her sons but would do anything to have a daughter.

Her husband, who also cannot be identified, said: 'After what we have been through we think we are due for a bit of luck.

'We know we definitely won't be replacing her in any way, but want the chance to have the baby girl we don't have.'

University Tries To Force Nursing Students To Participate In Abortions?

Can there be any doubt that most if not all universities in America are run by Liberals? We can see their power plays lately be their attempt to force Christian students to violate religiously held moral values. We have already seen this with the issue of homosexuality. Now it looks like we are seeing it with abortion. From Life News:

Vanderbilt University is the subject of a federal complaint filed today by officials with the Alliance Defense Fund over requiring nursing students to participate in abortions.

ADF, a pro-life legal group, filed the complaint with the Department of Health and Human Services saying it illegally forces the students to do the abortions despite receiving $300 million in federal tax dollars each year. Federal law prohibits grant recipients from forcing students or health care workers to participate in abortions contrary to their religious beliefs or moral convictions.

The complaint was filed on behalf of a fourth-year nursing student at another university who wants to apply to Vanderbilt’s nurse residency program but won’t do so because of the abortion policy. She says Vanderbilt admission forms require her to promise to participate in abortions.

ADF Legal Counsel Matt Bowman commented on the case and said, “Christians and other pro-life members of the medical community shouldn’t be forced to participate in abortions to pursue their profession.”

“People enter the medical profession to protect and heal the helpless. Federal law protects them from being required to kill the helpless. The law clearly states that grant recipients cannot accept taxpayer dollars and require health care workers to participate in abortions, which is precisely what Vanderbilt is doing,” Bowman added.

The nurse residency application the nursing program at Vanderbilt uses clearly requires the abortion pledge, and goes as far as encouraging nursing candidates to pursue other vocational goals if they refuse to participate in abortions.

“If you are chosen for the Nurse Residency Program in the Women’s Health track, you will be expected to care for women undergoing termination of pregnancy. Procedures performed in the Labor and Delivery unit include…terminations of pregnancy,” it states. “If you feel you cannot provide care to women during this type of event, we encourage you to apply to a different track of the Nurse Residency Program to explore opportunities that may best fit your skills and career goals.”

But Vanderbilt University officials are denying the claim.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center spokesman John Howser told the Tennessean newspaper the guidelines mean nursing students may provide care to women who will seek or may have sought abortions, but don’t have to participate in abortions themselves.

“The letter was added in order to create an awareness that terminations are performed here at Vanderbilt,” Howser said. “If you choose to participate (in the nurse residency program), you will be around patients who have had or are seeking terminations, and you may be asked to care for them. It does not say that you are required to participate in performing or in the performance of terminations.”

Howser said the college has a longstanding policy of allowing employees and students to opt out of activities due to religious beliefs, ethical views or for other similar reasons: “This policy also applies to applicants to our nursing residency program who may be requested to participate in the care of women who seek medical care associated with the termination of pregnancy.”

But David French, an attorney with the Alliance Defense Fund, said he doesn’t understand why Vanderbilt doesn’t include that in the nursing student packet. Without it, pro-life students are deterred from joining the program...

A Crackdown On Pro-Lifers Coming After The Shooting Of Congresswoman Giffords?

So now if you are pro-life you might try and kill a Congresswoman. From Life News:

The issue of abortion has been a significant one in the response to the shootings.

The social networking web site Twitter became an early place for people on all sides of the debate to easily weigh in with their comments in response, and it quickly became a bastion of misinformation. Apparently based on early reports wrongly indicating Giffords was shot because she was pro-life, Twitter became dominated by comments from those who claimed she opposed abortion.

“Gabby Giffords voted against amnesty and was pro-life,” a frequently re-tweeted message said.

Yet, according to the National Right to Life Committee, Giffords had a 100% pro-abortion record during the 2009-2010 session of Congress, including supporting the ObamaCare bill that funds abortions. Although she supports legalized abortion, Giffords, who barely defeated her pro-life Republican opponent Jesse Kelly in November, does take conservative stands on other political issues, including immigration.

That didn’t stop prominent liberals from blaming pro-life advocates.

“Mission accomplished, Sarah Palin,” tweeted Daily Kos founder Mark Moulistas after the shooting — in a comment that received significant criticism from conservative activists.

And NOW president Terry O’Neill, the head of the pro-abortion women’s group, blamed “extreme right-wing opponents” just hours after the tragic shooting and called for a Justice Department investigation “to the fullest extent of federal anti-terrorist legislation” to determine whether the shooting was “part of a conspiracy.”

“Conservatives cannot have it both ways, screaming sexist, racist and homophobic slurs at legislators as they vote for health care reform, putting legislators on a violence-inciting ‘Targets’ list, and then simply saying how sorry they are when someone explodes into murder,” she said. “We call on Republican leaders to do more than disavow hatred, hostility and violence-laden speech as a political.”

I guess I will see my other pro-life companions and fundamentalist Christians at the re-education camps.

The Daily Kos Thinks You Are A "Forced Birther"

This not a new term but it just goes to show how truly pro-abortion the Left. From the Daily Kos:

Forced birthers acknowledge that even with the additional 45 seats they picked up in the midterms, it will be difficult to enact their desired legislation with a still Democratically-controlled Senate and a pro-choice president. But forced birthers have, in the past, succeeded in passing restrictive legislation with the help of even self-described pro-choice Democrats. In 2003, for example, the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act passed with the help of 63 House Democrats and and 17 Senate Democrats, including then-Senator Joe Biden.

And of course, who can forget how Democrat Rep. Bart Stupak held health care reform hostage in order to extort further restrictions on women's access to reproductive health care?

Last year, state legislators introduced more than 600 bills to restrict reproductive health care rights, dozens of which were enacted into law. Often, the laws are overturned by the courts for their blatant unconstitutionality, but that doesn't stop forced birth legislators from continuing to introduce these bills in the hopes that they will reach the Supreme Court and ultimately be upheld...

The outright hypocrisy of someone crying about "choice" when they want to force people to kill unborn babies. So what about those of us who oppose euthanasia? Are we "forced livers"?
